I’ve spent over 5 years on Rover caring for pets, and it’s something I’ve truly loved doing. I’ve cared for dogs, cats, and all kinds of personalities, and I’m comfortable adjusting to whatever each pet needs to feel safe, happy, and at home while you’re away. I recently started working remotely, which gives me the flexibility to offer even more personalized care. In addition to walks and drop-in visits, I’m now able to provide daycare and boarding, with plenty of attention, playtime, potty breaks, and companionship throughout the day. I’m dependable, easygoing, and I take the time to stick to each pet’s routine so things feel familiar and stress-free. Whether it’s an afternoon walk, a quick check-in, an overnight stay, or spending the day together while you work, I treat every pet like my own and make sure they’re safe, comfortable, and loved. Sam is the best pet sitter we've had! She's communicative, caring, and clean, which is everything you could want in someone who is watching your fur baby. I'm someone who typically leaves LOTS of notes for my sitter and request twice daily check ins, which Sam graciously put up with. At this point she's done multiple sits for us and trust her completely. I recommend her to anyone I know looking for pet care! :)
We’ve had Sam stay at our house many times to care for our cat, Studs, and she’s been absolutely wonderful every time. She’s reliable, responsible, trustworthy, and incredibly respectful of our home — honestly, it barely looks like anyone stayed there after she leaves! Our cat is very shy, but he quickly warmed up to her, which says a lot. As a fellow cat mom, she clearly has a lot of experience and genuinely cares for animals. I highly recommend Sam for any pet or house sitting needs.

Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I work remotely from home, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to be present throughout the day. That means I can easily accommodate walks, drop-in visits, daycare, and boarding while giving pets plenty of attention, playtime, potty breaks, and companionship. I keep a structured schedule, so it’s easy for me to stay on top of each pet’s routine and any special instructions. Whether your pet needs a midday walk, medication, extra exercise, or simply someone home to keep them company, I’m able to provide reliable, consistent care. My goal is to make your pet’s day feel as normal and stress-free as possible—and to give you peace of mind knowing they’re in caring, dependable hands.

I focus on keeping things as close to their normal routine as possible. That usually includes feeding, walks, litter box care for cats, playtime, and just spending time with them so they feel comfortable and not alone while their owner is away. I try to follow each pet’s routine closely because that’s what helps them feel most at ease. For care in my own home, I keep things very calm and structured because I have two cats, Lucy and Ethel, who are my whole world. They have never been around dogs, so I’m very mindful about that. Because of this, I’m open to discussing boarding on a case-by-case basis, but I’m most comfortable making sure any situation would be low-stress and safe for all pets involved.
Pets
A typical day
I like to keep things simple and tailored to each pet’s personality. For dogs, that usually means walks, playtime, and plenty of time to sniff and explore at their pace. I also love incorporating games like fetch or just giving them extra attention and affection if they’re more of a snuggler. For cats, I focus on whatever they enjoy most whether that’s interactive toys, gentle play, treats, or just hanging out with them so they feel comfortable and not alone. Some cats want engagement, others just want a calm presence nearby, and I’m happy with either.

- The most important things for me to know ahead of time are any details that help me make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and keep their routine consistent. That includes things like feeding schedules, medication needs, behavior around new people, any anxiety or triggers, and how they do with being alone. For cats especially, I like to know their personality and comfort level with interaction since I’m very mindful about keeping things calm and low stress.
