My clients (and their owners) owners are my top priority. Since I enjoy travel I currently have no pets of my own. Being able to care for your pets is a bonus for me! Recently I started offering housesitting and it has been a very wonderful, positive experience. Doing my best in making sure your pets are well cared for and their needs are met. I enjoy taking the dogs for walks and giving kitties play time and snuggles, if they let me. Currently I am caring for a salt-water aquarium which requires very specific instructions and it's a joy to look at and observe. I even take care of my chiropractor''s fresh water tank. And I'm always available to communicate with my clients and send pics and videos.

Information Sam B. would like to know about your pet

If this is our first drop-in, walk or housesitI I will be checking with you on all the important info so I can take care of your pet as you would yourself. Is there a particular time you feed them. Are they aggressive in any way, either on or off leash. Have they been sick or do I need to look out for any symptoms? Is your pet microchipped and make sure I have vet info. But these are all things we can talk about during a meet-and-greet.

A typical day

If your dog has a favourite route or likes new places we can go to the park or walk through a neighbourhood...It's the dog's moment so I let them lead the way. Slow, if they want to check out their surroundings, and faster if they need a more energetic walk, although I don't walk dogs that need to be run or jogged with.

Pet care experience

Note: I will be out-of-town until July 14th and will have spotty internet until then. If you wish to book me for a future date, please wait until about then or have patience, and if I can respond, I will! Enjoy your weekend and keep your pets safe on the 4th! Dog owners-please read the important details if you are seeking daytime and or weekend daytime summer availability especially for dog care. Cat care tends to be much more flexible! I am available to housesit on the weekends but only eveningtime-I am not available during the daytime weekends again until the fall. **Some important schedule information before you reach out for excellent, loving and playful care for your pets...I hope this clarifies understanding of when I am available to offer my services. For overnight housesitting please note that the quote given here is for my arrival between 5-7pm and leaving in the morning usually somewhere around 9am. If I have no pressing obligations that morning, I may hang around and spend more time playing with your precious furbabies since I have no pets of my own and enjoy having fun and entertaining yours. When I can be available for all-day care it begins at $125 per day, with allowances to leave for short periods of time for personal needs. The "extended care" listed on the app is somewhat confusing, so we can discuss a fair amount over the phone with the number that Rover has for us to contact each other. Please reach out if your pets would appreciate some extra play time or loving! Continued.... Now that I have been with Rover for a few years I'm finding what works best, schedule-wise, for requested overnights vs. extended care. Please read on to see which option will work for you and your pet. There are also updated notes on meet-n-greets and allergies. I aways wish to do a meet-n-greet so that we can get away from the computer screen and meet in person. You are welcome to use the Rover phone number and get in contact with me at any time! If you would like me to come for any of the overnight options, it's important for you to know that I have allergies to highly-scented and commercial products. Think: Glade plug-ins, airsprays and laundry detergents. Since, if I'm overnight I will be staying in a provided bed or other accommodation so the detergent used to wash the sheets can be an irritant. However, I'm find with eco-products as I use them myself, as long as they are not super-scented. That all being said, I love taking care of other peoples' animals since I have none of my own. I also appreciate the trust that has been given through my past clients, many who still are current clients! I'm happy to bring in the mail, water your plants, feed the fish, and take out the trash bins if you are gone during a pickup. I hope this will help to clear up some of the confusion regarding the overnight vs. full housesit and I look forward to taking care of your fur-babies!

Sam did an amazing job taking care of my 2 kitties. She is kind, caring and communicative and gave my cats lots of love while I was away. She gave me updates and pictures which put my nerves at ease because I knew my babies were in good hands. I highly recommend Sam to anyone looking for a pet sitter. She went above and beyond for my kitties and I will be contacting her again for future pet sitting!

Sam was once again amazing in caring for our kitties! We went on a two-week trip to Japan, and encountered travel difficulties and delays in getting home. Sam dropped everything to stay an extra night with our two cats; we couldn’t be more grateful!

Sam takes such good care of both our spunky younger cat and quieter senior cat, making sure that both of them have what they need and what makes them happy. She even will bring them each a new toy sometimes! She has been dependable to a fault, with excellent daily updates and communication. She will continue to be our first choice and go-to to watch our cats and housesit for us when we are away!
