Every pet is different and I'm happy to cater to their unique needs and maintain their routines. I can go for long walks, lavish them with attention, feed them at the right times, clean up after them, and give them any required medications. More information on the services I can offer: - House Sitting: I focus on this as I work from home and will have plenty of time to spend with your pets and look after your home. I'm based in Linlithgow, but can go anywhere accessible via public transport, however for shorter stays I may ask for help covering the travel costs. - Dog Walks & Drop-ins: Because house sitting takes me all over the place I can't offer regular walks, but short-term requests are possible when I’m around. I’ll keep the calendar up to date with my availability, feel free to get in touch with any questions or specific requests!
Information Sam B. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog has any special requirements, I have experience with all sorts of personalities and can administer medications if necessary.
A typical day
A typical day would start with breakfast and then off to the park for a good long walk, play some fetch and sniff our way around. Meadowfield is my personal favourite as it's not too populated and we have lot's of space for ourselves.

Pet care experience
Hello! Sam here, I'm a dog walker/sitter with over 10 years experience, having lived with dogs of all sizes and personalities for most of my life. I was a baby when the Labrador down the road decided it liked spending more time with our family than the owners, so we adopted him. His name was Sam too, clearly we were meant for each other. As a teenager my Dad trusted me to train and take care of Flynn, a rather quiet German Shepard. More recently my partner and I adopted a beautiful border collie, unfortunately she had epilepsy and so required a lot of care, but she was worth every second of it. I've also helped out many other people when they need someone to look after their pets. I’m also studying dog behaviour and training, and I’ve completed a certificate in animal behaviour through Coursera. I write about dogs on my website (just ask and I can send the link), which keeps me up-to-date with the latest science and gives me another reason to spend way too much time thinking about dogs!

Reviews

Sam looked after my 12 yr old boy for 4 nights in May, this was the first time my boy had ever been left, I was soo nervous and apprehensive, but Sam has a very calming demeanour he visited us twice at our home before I left for my trip and nothing was too much. He reassured me and advised he would send updates every day. I received updates plus pics, which was reassuring. when I came home the house was as I left it and I have 1 happy boy!! thank you again Sam.

This was the first time we had left Blake to attend a 2 night event. We left confident that Sam would deal with Blake's anxiety and take him on lots of long walks. On return Blake had been well cared for and happy. The house was in good order too.

Second time Sam has minded our dog Louie, he handled it brilliantly despite Louie being a bit grumpy with him this time, still managed to get him out a long walk and house was left spotless. Thanks again Sam

Sam was absolutely brilliant with Milly while we were away for a week. Milly enjoyed plentiful walks and generally was very settled and happy. Great communication from Sam at the time of making the booking, Sam visited us and then confirmed which was all very reassuring as this was our first time. Lovely wee updates while we’re away too. Thanks Sam!
