Pet care experience

I love dogs!!!

When I was eight years old my family raised German Shepherds and that began my total affection for our four legged friends. I’ve had dogs ever since and can’t imagine life without them! Big,small, active or not, I just love dogs! I started pet sitting for friends just because I think pets are better off with me in my home than a kennel environment. I have an acre backyard that is fenced in and a large deck for doggie sunbathing. Your pets will have all the affection they can stand. That’s a promise!!

Sallie was terrific with my dogs. Both were rescues with some special needs. She did a great job with them.

Thank you, Sallie, for making my vacation so relaxing without any worry about the love for and care of my loving companion, Sweet Pea. I knew leaving her in someone else's care would be one of the hardest things imaginable. Boy, was I wrong. Sweet Pea's stay with Sallie was GREAT for her getting loved, playing with other dogs, safe spaces to run, nice shade to take a rest and a home designed for a dog's comfort, safety, and most of all, LOVE. The slight drawback was that I don't think she missed me because she was so "at home" with Sallie's family and their dear dogs who shared their home. Do I recommend Sallie? 1000+%. Will Sweet Pea go back?---you betcha! Goodness, let me not forget...daily pictures and communication were icing on the cake.

Calendar and availability

Schedule

I work primarily from home so can tend to whatever your pet needs—activity, feeding schedules, meds, etc—whenever they need it.. Since I’m at home with them they’ll never be without somebody there with them (especially important if your pup experiences separation anxiety). I'm in Winnsboro, 10 minutes from Ridgeway, 15 minutes from Blythewood, 25-35 minutes from Columbia, 30 minutes from Lancaster, 25 minutes from Chester, and not a bad ride from Rock Hill or Charlotte.

Safety, trust & environment

My house sits on two acres outside town limits with a one acre backyard fenced in. We have a large deck that’s perfect for doggie sunbathing!!! When it’s too hot or cold, they’ll be inside! I have an extra large doggie door (big enough for a Great Dane) that your pet can use if they’d like.

Pets

A typical day

Every dog has a different activity level. We'll talk about what yours likes to do--fetch, walks, etc. -- and I'll take it from there. I'm mindful of your dog's heat/cold tolerance and will build the daily activities around that. My yard is two acres--one acre is fenced, so it allows for lots of fun things for your pup to do.

I sit for a friend's pet who needs medicine at certain times of the day. This isn't a problem! I'll just need to know what special requests you have for the best care I can provide.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
