Veterinary Pet Care Assistent here to help 💚

Pet care experience

I decided to follow my passion for animals by starting work at a vets a couple of years ago and am so happy that I want even more animals in my life! I've always had cats in my life, my first cat made me fall in love with them all. I currently have one very special boy called Tuc, we adopted him knowing he was an extremely nervous and anxious cat but he's so sweet we are lucky to have him. I've also recently taken on my first foster kitten and it looks like we'll be finding him a forever home very soon. It's not just cats I'm obsessed with - I've also had experience working with dogs from my teen years living on a farm. Have always walked friend's dogs purely for the enjoyment, and now I get to be hands on working at a Vets supporting the nurses and vets look after everyone's precious little beans. There are some great walks locally and I'm personally partial to a dog friendly beach, I have safe transport for taking dogs on adventures.

We’re so pleased we chose Sali to look after our senior cat Lily. We had regular updates and photos and the house was kept spotless 😊 couldn’t have asked for more! Will definitely be booking again in future 😊 thank you!!!

Sali is a friendly, kind and trustworthy person who has a gentle approach towards all animals. She has experience in handling both dogs and cats and is able to provide appropriate care and support when necessary.

Sali has a lovely patient, caring nature and is really conscientious with the dogs and cats she looks after. I have no hesitation in recommending her as a pet sitter and dog walker as I know she will go the extra mile to make sure they are safe and happy. I wish her well with her pet business on Rover.com and would trust her to look after my own pets.

I'd be happy to work with owners on specific pet needs, please let me know if there are any activities I need to avoid to make sure you pet stays healthy and happy. For drop-ins, once the essential needs are taken care off (litter trays/ toileting, food and water) my focus would be on offering your pet social time. For cats this could be lap time, play time or some cats just want fusses and a chat. I think it really depends on what your pet needs and it's the same with dogs, if they need a bit of playtime I'm more than happy to help or maybe they just want a human to sit with. My first walk with your dog/s would be to gaining insight into to their specific traits so I can best keep them happy and safe. Things like giving enough space between other dogs so as not to stress them unnecessarily or walking at the right pace for elderly dogs.

Information Sali P. would like to know about your pet

As mentioned before I am happy to work with you on any specifics (As I become more experienced in my job I hope to expand my offering work with behavioural issues and/or medical need like giving medication

At the moment I don't have plans to board, if this changes I will update my profile and availability. I like using play with toys, balls or tricks to reinforce positive behaviours and I feel that this applies to both cats and dogs. And if they let me, we also have a little cwtch haha
