I have experience in dogsitting, housesitting with multiple pets, and boarding in my home on and off since 2011. I have a very laid back 4-year-old dog and a super sweet 10-year-old kiddo who LOVES all kinds of dogs. Friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed, and care for their pets while they’re out of town (dogs, cats, birds, and a couple amphibians!). I stick to 4 legged furry friends these days.

Sala and Pickles were wonderful with Pogi. Sala set up a Meet & Greet in advance and welcomed us to their lovely home which helped make Pogi feel comfortable the day of his daycare with them. We picked up a happy and tired pup by the end of the day which is all we could ask for. We will definitely be booking more days with them.

Sala is one of the most caring and thoughtful people I know. She is always ready with a smile and an open heart to help anyone in need. She has adopted a beautiful dog named pickles and boy are they the perfect pair. She is always my go to for babysitting my dog! She always updates with pictures and a summary of the day. I have to literally pick my dog up to put him in the car because he doesn’t want to leave! Your fur baby will be in safe hands and you will have the peace of mind knowing your dog is safe.Don’t hesitate to book Sala you won’t be disappointed.
Sala watched our bullmastiff (133 lbs) and our cheweenie (10 lbs). She asked all the important questions (food/snacks preferences, any allergies fears or triggers, environments they thrive in and one’s that are challenging etc) to ensure her home was ready for them before they arrived. Upon arrival she gave them time and space to explore her home and get acclimated to the space. She acknowledged their check ins and talked with them until they were comfortable. Our dogs has the best time with Sala and have been back since. She is caring, kind and conscientious. She ensured our dogs were comfortable and felt safe. She is communicative, organized and put priority on the care and comfort of our dogs. We appreciated her intuitive nature and the way she communicated throughout their stay. We highly recommend Sala. She’s amazing!
Sala is the most kind and gentle pet friend anyone could ask for! Sala watched my dog, Maka while I was out of town and kept my mind at ease. Maka has only been with me for a year so I was nervous to leave him while I took my kids on vacation but Sala sent me pictures, daily updates and kept Maka busy with all sorts of fun activities like car rides and swimming in the kiddie pool! I was low key jealous and wished I would have just booked a stay-cation at her house! Sala did everything to keep my very large Mastiff happy and comfy the entire time and I’d 1000% be booking her again in the future!

Schedule
I work remotely from home so I’m able to care for fur babies throughout the week. I’m in mid Beacon Hill within walking distance of Jefferson park. I get to schedule my work days so I can take breaks for walks and play time in the yard every 2-4 hours. I have a clean home both inside and out that is toddler and dog-proofed so you can feel at ease while at work or on long trips. Dogs with mod to low/chill energy levels usually do best in our home. If your dog requires a 6am run, this house is not a good fit 😂

Safety, trust & environment
I care for pets in my home for daycare and boarding. I am willing to travel for pick up or drop off for an additional fee. I am not currently accepting boarding requests. My home and safety: My human kiddo and fur baby, Pickles, enjoy playing, going for walks, and lounging around in the yard. We are excited for your fur baby to join us on our mini adventures. Pickles is your typical retired mama who loves her naps, and gets along well with other dogs and humans of all ages. I will take them outside for potty and play time roughly every 2-4 hours and walks for exercise 2-3 times a day. Dogs are free to roam the house and keep me company during my Zoom meetings. I usually have music or “TV for dogs” playing in the living room for the pups during the day or if I need to run a quick errand. I crate my pup if I need to leave for errands for safety purposes with new clients. I usually plan for errands beforehand so I am home with the dogs. If my 9 year old were home with me during a daycare or overnight stay, please know she’s very sweet, gentle, and playful. She’s grown up with dogs her entire life and can learn rules that come with dogs and their humans. Our big house rules are “human food for humans” (save for the occasional crumbs that doggos beat us to). Communication: I ask owners how they prefer updates, if any. I’m a fan of Rover Cards so owners can get a snapshot of their dog’s day. I usually take pics and short videos to share with clients. Please let me know how I can make our home comfortable for you and our new furry friend. I have extra blankets and dog beds, treats, and spare tennis balls and chew toys! A typical day includes playing and lounging in the yard, going on 2-3 walks around the neighborhood, and taking naps in between. Please don’t hesitate to let me know of specific activities your dog enjoys (or doesn’t!).
