Safety, trust & environment

I am very experienced in reading animals’ body language and provide specialized care for anxious animals or those that may need extra love and attention, such as seniors or anxious/reactive dogs. I like learning all I can about the animals I take care of, and have a strong eye for detail if they have quirks or different needs so that I can accommodate them perfectly. I understand being away from your pets can be stressful- you can count on me to provide consistent communication and updates/pictures throughout the day, and please let me know if there’s anything else I can do to make you and your fur family‘s experience as comfortable and enriching as possible!

Information Sage S. would like to know about your pet

Let me know your animal’s temperament, specific dietary needs, daily medication, favorite spot to be scratched, or if they need a higher level of care or attention. Whether they’re anxious, high-energy, or reactive, the more information the better so that I can give your companion a blast while you’re away!

A typical day

I enjoying playing with and exercising your animals, rain, snow, or shine! Either through walks through the neighborhood, a classic game of fetch, a trip to the dog park, or a simple night of cuddles for those couch potatoes. I love hiking and spending time at rivers and lakes so if you have a water pup they’d have a blast.

The animal whisperer!

Pet care experience

I’ve been taking care of dogs, cats, small animals, and many kinds of pets over the years! I’m an experienced animal lover- from feathers to scales to fur and everything in-between. I have diverse experience working with various breeds, species, ages, and temperaments. I’ve owned multiple pets, including cats, rats, guinea pigs, fish, and dogs, and I’ve loved every single one. I was in FFA and took small animal care classes in school. I’m able to entertain your animals, exercise, medicate, and love on them just as well as if you were home. I am experienced and skilled in high/special-needs animals, whether anxious, reactive, energetic, exotic, young, or old, and I prioritize maintaining their usual routine. I am doing Rover full-time and considering a degree as a veterinary technician. I love to pet-sit because I can love on animals and get more experience while also pursuing college!

Sage is the best! This is her second time watching our boy and she does an amazing job with him. He is so nervous around new people, but Sage has already won him over with her care! Cant recommend enough

Sage was wonderful! Our boy slipped away and she brought him home safe and sound. I highly recommend her! She is so caring and loving towards our nervous guy!

Sage was lovely as a person staying at our place as well as taking care of Griz. She communicated effectively, kept us posted, shared pictures, helped train Griz (he’s only 4 months old), took good care of Griz and eased the mind of an owner first leaving his pup. We will use her again. Thank you!

Sage was fantastic, they cleaned up after themselves, was a great communicator, was super patient with my anxious pup. Couldn’t ask for someone better, will definitely be asking them back!
