Availability

My schedule is built around school, which gives me a lot of control over my time. I have large blocks of availability throughout the week and can often accommodate daytime visits, evenings, weekends, and requests that come up on shorter notice. Caring for your pet fits especially well because I can plan my coursework around it rather than the other way around.

Safety, trust & environment

I treat a client’s home and routine exactly as I’d want someone to treat mine. I’m careful with doors, gates, leashes and harnesses, keep food and anything unsafe out of reach, and make sure fresh water is always available. I follow any household instructions closely, clean up after both myself and your pet, and leave your home the way I found it. I’m also mindful about not introducing new foods, animals, or situations without your approval.

Information Sage C. would like to know about your pet

To keep your dog safe and comfortable, please share how they do with other dogs on and off leash, any medications or allergies, and whether they're crate trained. It's also helpful to know about anxiety triggers like fireworks or thunderstorms, their feeding schedule, and any comfort items like a blanket or toy for naptime. The more details, the better I can match their routine to what they know now.

A typical day

I keep things fun and varied. We do walks, hikes, and trips to the dog park, plus basic training exercises. I also do doggy massages, puzzle toys, fetch, and plenty of cuddle time throughout the day.

A Thoughtful Approach to Dog Care

Pet care experience

I’ve cared for puppies, seniors, anxious dogs, and plenty of personalities in between. I’ve also worked in a dog daycare and boarding facility and volunteer with the Humane Society, which has given me experience reading behavior, recognizing stress, maintaining routines, and understanding that every dog communicates a little differently. I’m attentive about following your rules. Feeding schedules, medications, walking routines, training cues, boundaries, weird little rituals your dog has somehow convinced the entire household are mandatory. I’m not here to undo the structure you’ve worked hard to create. I’m also a big communicator. You are never going to annoy me by wanting to know how your dog is doing. I’m currently in school full-time and not working another traditional job, so my schedule is extremely flexible for walks, drop-ins, longer visits, and last-minute needs. Dogs are genuinely where I’m happiest, and my long-term goal is to eventually own a daycare and boarding facility of my own. For now, I get to do my favorite part: getting to know them one dog at a time.

My dog absolutely loves Sage! She is the only person I trust with my Bella! Sage just has a way with animals and is the most caring, nurturing, attentive and loving person to any animal she comes in contact with. Her 2 pups are so loving and happy, so it's obvious how well she takes care of them and she treats all animals as if they were her own! She's the only person I call to look after my baby girl

Sage is an absolutely amazing sitter and a genuine animal lover. Her attentiveness is unmatched, and she has a remarkable way of disarming even the most skittish pup, making fast friends in no time. She is trustworthy, responsible, and always welcome in my home. From the moment she walks in, she treats your pets like part of her own family, and that level of care truly shows. I cannot recommend her highly enough to anyone looking for a sitter who will love your animals as much as you do.
