I have a flex work-from-home schedule during the week and attend school from home as well, so I am available for drop-in visits and walks in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings most days.

When preparing to perform drop-in services, I ensure I communicate clearly with you about your expectations for the service (routines; food & water & how much; pets’ demeanors; special needs; etc.) and follow both the rules you set and common courtesy practices. That is, I stay in the areas you designate, I keep a close watch on your pets at all times, and my phone stays packed except to communicate with you and to log activities/photos as appropriate on Rover. My attention is always devoted to your pets and their environment for everyone’s safety. While walking pets, I will communicate with you about your rules for dog parks and all other public spaces. For your pets’ safety and my own, I keep to the opposite side of the street or path of other pets and people. Your pet will never be off-leash with me, except as allowed by you in designated off-leash areas, such as a dog park. I value clear and precise communication with you above all else so I may best ensure your pets’ safety and satisfaction with their time with me! I trust you to know your pet best, and I strive to earn & maintain your trust that I will do my best accommodate you and your pet.

Please inform me of any and all of your pets’ special needs, attitudes/demeanors, habits, and favorites! For pets with anxious (or other) tendencies, this is especially important so I can help them feel safe. No detail is too small—everything you can tell me to better prepare me to give your pets the fun, safe company they deserve while you’re busy is welcome! I will always ask, even if you don’t mention anything, just to ensure we’re on the same page :)
A typical day
I love both playing and exercising with your pets! Playtime with toys and walks are my favorite activities, but I’m also happy to just chill with your pets if they’re not in the mood to play. I love letting your pets lead during walks as much as is safe—I walk at the pace they set, especially with seniors, and I’m happy to stop to let them sniff around as much as they wish to. Any drop-in chores are taken care of at the beginning of the visit (unless otherwise specified) so your pet and I can hang out uninterrupted until I leave. I love talking to pets and letting them know what I’m up to, too! I find that engaging verbally and with a light, playful tone often helps them feel more comfortable with me.

Serving Oceanside, Carlsbad, and Vista! I am a very experienced pet owner and carer with a passion for improving the quality of pets’ lives wherever I can! I am inspired by a deep desire to give back to my community by offering affordable, quality drop-in and walking services for any and all pets, so pet parents needn’t worry about their pets feeling lonely or getting their baths, food, water, and exercise! For my entire life, I have been responsible for all of my own dogs’ needs, from puppyhood to senior care. I have taken care of many different sizes of dogs, from Teacup Yorkies to Huskies, German Shepherds, and Great Dane mixes. My family relied on me to play with; walk; feed; and clean up after all our pets, instilling me with both a deep love for and a sense of responsibility toward animals. I now seek to provide these services for others who want the helping hand and the assurance that their beloved family members will be well taken care of in their absence!
