I'm an animal lover to the core!
I've had dogs since I was 10 and cats since I was born, so I'm comfortable and respectful around animals. I understand that each animal is an individual and has different behaviors and preferences. I also have years of experience volunteering at animal shelters, so I've learned a lot about how to interact with and comfort stressed or scared dogs and cats (physically remove from triggering situation, give space, let them come to you if they want).

I believe building trust is crucial, which will vary based on the individual; I pay close attention to the cues from animals I'm taking care of to understand what they may need from me (walk/cuddles/play/space). It's important to me that every animal I interact with feels comfortable and safe as a baseline (and then we can add in some fun if they're energized!)

Schedule
I enjoy spending time outside and taking walks in my free time, which aligns nicely with any dog-sitting. I work from home 3 days per week so have some flexibility.
