Pet care experience
Experience with all, big and small!
Hello! My name is Rylie, and I’m a Ph.D. student with a lifelong love of animals! I’ve had pets of all shapes and sizes from the time I was little, ranging from tiny budgies and pint-sized Pomeranians to 120lb Great Danes. In addition to cats and dogs, I have extensive experience caring for a range of small animals and pets, including birds, guinea pigs, rats, ferrets, turtles, geckos, fish, and even shrimp! I’ve also done work in wildlife rescue and research, volunteering with bird banding and conservation efforts. I have experience with a wide variety of petsitting formats— I’ve done both long-term and short-term housesitting, drop-ins, and dog walking (my favorite!). In short, I’m a flexible, versatile, and experienced sitter, who is here to help with whatever pet care needs you may have! DISCOUNT! If you don’t require overnight care, I provide a discount for daytime-only housesitting (12 hours of care, typically 8am-8pm, or as needed). If this seems like a good fit for you, shoot me a message!

Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
I want to make your absence as easy as possible on both you and your sweet pet! As such, I do my best to keep up your pets usual routine and leave your house just as I found it, so that when you come back you can pick up exactly where you left off!
Ratings and reviews
Amazing! Buster was an instant fan and I appreciate her professionalism, kindness and love!

Rylie is amazing! She asked lots of questions to make sure my dog would have a great time with her. He’s a big dog (German Shepherd), and she completely understands the behavior and energy level of big, high-energy dogs!

Rylie was so good with my two cats, very communicative with each visit and patient with the super shy cat who loves to hide. Highly recommend!

Rylie has been the best dog walker I’ve had thus far. She always keeps me up to date on any changes, and she always keeps the best interest of my dog in mind. Highly recommend Rylie for your fur babies.

Rylie is such an amazing dog walker, she’s always in contact if something ever changes. Highly recommend Rylie with your furbabies :)

Rylie is an attentive, communicative, and caring pet sitter who I would be happy to use again! She provided check-ins at each visit including many photos and videos, accompanied by a detailed description of the drop-in visit. I really appreciated that Rylie was consistent in her communication with me, even when I couldn’t respond back to her right away. I would trust her with my pets any day.

Schedule
I’m an early riser with several large breaks in my schedule (particularly around lunch) during the work week! As such, I’m the perfect person to call if your pet likes to be up and at ‘em in the morning, or needs someone to keep them company during the workday! I am also enthusiastic about hiking and running, so if you have a more active dog in need of a long walk, I’d be thrilled to get out and explore with them!

- If your dog has a routine or a schedule, I’d love to know what comes when so that we can make the transition into my care as smooth as possible! If not, general likes, dislikes, and quirks will also be just fine. I’d also love to know if your dog or cat has any triggers, so that we can avoid them as much as possible. One of my old dogs was dog-aggressive on leash, so I have lots of experience finding safe ways to work around potential points of stress and bad behavior, especially if I know what I’m up against!
