Hello, my name is Atticus! I worked at a doggy daycare for over a year, have been pet and house sitting for neighbors and friends for over 3 years, actively volunteer at a cat shelter since 2017, and have been walking dogs since I was a kid. I have 5 pets (one dog, three cats, and one snake) of my own, making me well versed in caring for a variety of animals.

Atticus did a wonder job housesitting and caring for my dog Hazel. She kept me updated with pictures and reports of their days together. Hazel seemed happy and well cared for and my house was as neat and clean as when I left. I highly recommend Atticus and I look forward to having her housesit for me again!
Atticus was great with taking care of our cats as well as being agreeable to taking care of non-pet related tasks such as taking out the garbage to the curb and bringing in packages. Atticus was communicative, agreeable to a meet and greet, and stuck to the care schedule. I would book with Atticus in the future and recommend others do the same.

When I first contacted Atticus the response time was great. They communicated well and the meet and greet went well. There were good reviews in their page so I felt the fit would work. The first day of the overnight I meet them and went over everything again (we went over everything the during meet and greet) and I have a printout I leave for my dog sitters that has all the same information written out. Main items are meal times, don’t leave dogs longer than 4 hours at a time, and refill water bowls (they drink a lot). I received no updates from them until I would text and ask. No pictures until I asked and even then I only received a couple (the stay was for 3 days). My security system tells me when someone comes and goes from my house. So I was able to see they left my dogs for 7 hours one time then again for 6 hours. I ended the stay two nights early because I just wasn’t comfortable finishing it with Atticus. Had to call a friend last min to stay with them and I was stressed my whole vacation worried about my pups. When my friend came over she told me their water bowls were completely empty. I’ve never had this type of experience with Rover and I have been using the app successfully with great dog sitter for over 8 years.

Schedule
I work a sporadically scheduled contracted job 1 to 3 Saturdays a month that I'm very committed to. However, these jobs have never gotten in the way of my care towards my own animals and the animals I have pet sat for.

Safety, trust & environment
I don't pet sit in my own home, as I can't be sure that my animals will 100% get along with a client's animal. I have slept over in guest rooms of the houses I have spent over night in, as well as having only been in the house with the pets during the day, all per the client's request. Whatever one's house looks like or whatever features one's house may have, I am always sure to respect boundaries, clean up after myself, and make sure the house is left looking better than when I arrived.

A typical day
I love playing with high energy pets as well as relaxing with pets who have lower energy. I welcome snuggles from all types of animals and give a hearty amount of love and care to pets of all kinds!
