*Only booking within 1km of Portage and Main* I'll treat you and your animal(s) like my own family. I’ve cared for various species and breeds since I could walk, with a focus on dogs and cats (including nurturing litters of puppies and kittens into their golden years and beyond). I have experience tending to injured, recovering, sick and special needs animals (so I’m confident to administer any extra care they require). I'm also accustomed to cleaning up after pets however needed, and you can be sure I'll leave your space at least as sanitary / orderly as it was when I entered it. On walks, I keep bags, sanitizer, towels and water on me at all times, while prioritizing the comfort, hygiene, safety and wellbeing of your precious companion(s). I’m a physically fit, sober, non-smoker who practices daily meditation, so you can trust me to be active, fully present and focused with your pet(s) at all times (in playful yet calming energy). My conflict resolution and problem solving skills make the best of encounters with challenging humans and animals when they’re unavoidable, which offers peace of mind to my clients while I’m out in the wild with their pet(s), and makes me easy to deal with, too. I promise to be transparent with you, as I welcome opportunities to build lasting connections and continue refining my service. Currently I live downtown with 2 diabetic cats, so I'm effective at giving timed, measured food with insulin shots, as well as loading them into carriers (despite their resistance) for regular vet visits. We lived with a 50 lb. dog in our downtown apartment also, until she passed away a few years ago (which have been my first years of life without a dog in my home). Over the course of her life, I troubleshot and treated her for allergies, urinary tract and gastrointestinal issues, and monitored growths on her body. I adopted her from the WHS as an abandoned puppy with a broken leg, and eased her into running gradually. From there, we took a 6 month long obedience training program for puppies (where we both learned a lot, and I retained transferable skills there I still use). My core values include fun and integrity - meaning your pet(s) will have fun with me. You can also trust my actions to match my words, my transparency and accountability, and my respect for your home and your privacy.

I understand your home is an extension of your family and territory your pet(s) take(s) pride in protecting - so I carefully enter new spaces with gentleness, gratitude and respect. I can promise you I'll follow your instructions carefully and I won't touch anything in your home that I don't need to. I practice rewards-based training only, and I will not exercise discipline. If you believe your animal requires discipline, please select a different service provider. I approach my relationships with humans and animals on a case-by-case basis, meaning I'm patiently committed to learning what suits each being best, in order to build trust as slowly as needed. I'm also more than willing to practice any safety measures (such as wearing a mask) upon request.

I cannot recommend Rylee enough! What started as a two-week booking turned into nearly three months because of how incredible she was with my pets. She consistently went above and beyond—taking time out of her own day to make sure my fur babies were okay, sending me long and thoughtful updates that gave me complete peace of mind, and even helping me through the tough moments. When I lost a fish, she was compassionate and supportive, and she even helped nurse another one back to health. On top of that, she came by on her days off, went to the store when things were needed, and even ordered supplies to her own house to make sure my pets had everything they required. It was a long three months, and I truly don’t know what I would have done without her. Rylee didn’t just care for my pets, she saved my sanity! She did more than any pet sitter I’ve ever worked with, and I’m endlessly grateful for her dedication, kindness, and love for animals. Our boys love to see Rylee. She takes such good care of them and makes sure they have fun! She always provides detailed information about her visits and lots of photos so we know about their adventures.
She is truly wonderful. She genuinely cared for my dog with warmth, and my dog really liked her and followed her well. She followed my instructions perfectly, and I’m very grateful to her! I will definitely request her again next time.
Rylee is such a warm, professional, and loving sitter. I feel completely at ease leaving my cat in her care. While I was away, the highlight of my day was always reading Rylee’s thoughtful and fun updates and seeing the adorable photos she sent. I’m so grateful for her help, and if I ever need a sitter again, I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to choose her!
I booked Rylee to walk my 75lb 4yr old fur baby who has tons of energy and she was fantastic with him. Provided a bunch of pictures, she even took him out longer than planned as he was spending so much time sniffing. She was great to communicate with, she made sure she had all the details to access and lock up the home safely while I am out of town. Will definitely be booking her again for future walks.
