My calendar is open and I can be very flexible and work around your requirements, dates and timings, though Rover is not my only dog sitting method so it's always worth messaging to see if I have availability if Rover has blocked out my calendar. I will generally start the day by taking the boarding dogs to the playing fields a few minutes walk away to burn off initial excitement, then let the dogs play in the garden until lunch where I separate them to ensure they don't "over do it". I play with them at regular intervals during the day, hiding treats and toys around the garden, playing tug/catch etc. For difficult or anxious dogs I'm careful to only give short exposure to other dogs or activities until they feel comfortable. We keep Kira upstairs during any down time/separation periods so your pets can smell and familiarise themselves with our house and garden to help them settle but she always ends up playing with them and charging around the garden. I have repeat customers that have either high energy or anxious dogs who are coming along really well, every time they stay we see an improvement which is what makes this so rewarding for me. If you would like any dedicated training please let me know (I.e. socialisation/recall/lead training) I'm happy to do this for an additional fee where appropriate (though I will reinforce the basics as part of normal costs).

We have a large garden where your pets can play. Our Dobermann who has been speyed loves to play with other dogs (and cats!) and hunting for treats in the area of long grass that we've let grow wild for that purpose. Upstairs is gated off for the cat to have his space, or Kira during down time/separation periods.. The cat is fine with dogs and out in the fields most of the day. Kira is obedient and will obey commands to leave as she knows otherwise she will be separated (a punishment worse than death for our velcro pup!). We have other rooms in the house and an XLarge crate if required to easily separate from our pets if any issues or concerns.

- How are they with other dogs? - How are they with other humans? - What commands do they know? - What is their favourite food/treat? - What is their favourite game/toy? A typical day
We have multiple nice walks surrounding our house, as well as a big garden. These included quiet, gated public paths, playing fields and forest walks. I always carry treats and toys with me and encourage dogs to sniff them out to get their mind working, not just their muscles and lungs! Our Doberman is a very high energy dog and needs a lot of mental and physical stimulation so we're very accustomed to playing hide and seek, tug, fetch and general fussing of pets! I normally walk our Doberman (Kira) twice daily at different locations.

Pet care experience
I studied in animal science and care with focus on reptiles and dogs before I was tempted away by a career in IT. I have a lot of experience as well as training and significant amount of research and practice regards to dog training in particular. I have always been a go to pet sitter for friends and family and have recently decided to wind down my career in IT and take short term contracts to focus on moving back in to animal care and other passions. I particularly love dogs, having either helped or raised puppies (boxer, retriever, labradors, German shepherd, Dobermann) as well as multiple kittens. I am very used to looking after and training high energy/anxious/nervous or larger dogs having raised and trained my own. I always prefer to have a meet and greet before any sits to ensure its a good fit and set them up for a happy experience with me and Kira. My fiancé Stephanie and I live in detached house in near Lydney (Gloucs) with a large fenced off garden (front/back separated). We have young Doberman who is a high energy, big softy and often shares her home with other dogs for sitting or doggy day care. We allso have a young Norwegian forest cat who is the most chilled out kitten I've ever raised/known who is not bothered by other dogs in the house. I have cared for a myriad of different shapes sizes, tempremants and numbers of dogs and have strong experience in ensure theyre happy, engaged and have a great time during their stay.
Reviews
Bailey had the best time ever with Ryan. He had such fun with Keira and Frank running in Ryan's huge garden. He slept like a log when he came home and we will definitely be back.
Ryan and family made Lilly’s settling in sessions so easy. They did everything they could to keep us happy and Lilly. When we dropped Lilly off, she loved playing with Kira, their dog, who is also so good with her so we left her to it. Loads of pupdates and Lilly was treated as part of their family. Lilly loved it so much. Thank you all for what you have done, we would like to bring Lilly for more days in the future which we will arrange. Thanks again!

Ryan is a brilliant dog carer. He treated Darcy as if she was his own dog. He is friendly and knowledgeable, and kept us informed with photos and video clips every day of her 5 day stay. So glad we found him on Rover.com, as we would not leave Darcy in kennels. Ryan has a female Doberman, who became Darcy’s best friend. We would thoroughly recommend.

We were a little nervous leaving our 8 month old pointer puppy for the first time but really need not have worried as Ryan treated him as he does his own dog with great care and affection. Ryan provided regular updates and photos which was very welcome. The perfect dog carer.
