My girlfriend and I love animals, but since we travel often to see each other (she currently lives out of state), we can’t have pets of our own. Instead, we find joy in lovingly caring for and pet sitting others’ pets! I have experience with caring for pets throughout my life (dogs, cats, birds, lizards, ferrets, rabbits). For the past few years, I have been taking care of both younger and older dogs and cats and I am comfortable with various schedules, nutrition and medication needs. I am happy to adjust to your pet’s specific needs and preferences.

Ryan and Theoni are the absolute best. My older anxious dog is so well taken care of. She is afraid of anything new and she really wags her tail as soon as they see her in the morning. They are 100% reliable, responsive and so easy to communicate with.
We’re so grateful to have found Ryan and Theoni through Rover. They provided our hairless pup with thoughtful, attentive care and made sure he felt completely at ease in their home. It’s clear they genuinely love animals and treat every four-legged guest like family. I can’t say enough good things about Ryan. Ryan is one of the most honest, caring, and trustworthy people I know. I have known Ryan for over 10 years as an acquaintance and as a coworker. Ryan is diligent, kind, and organized. He is a great listener and is always willing to take feedback and advice. Rest assured that your pets will receive the care and attention that you ask he give them (and more!). My wife and I have a couple of dogs ourselves (an old golden retriever and a young rescue from Mexico) and he is great with them. I wouldn't have a single doubt about him caring for our pets or anyone else's. Your pet is in good hands with Ryan!
Ryan was the best cat-sitter I could ever have! My cats felt really comfortable around him and he provided frequent photos and updates. One of them has a medical condition that requires extra attention and he made sure that everything went smoothly. Can't recommend him enough!

Schedule
I am an engineer doing mostly software work so during the week I usually work from home. As a result I am able to take your pet to walks and hang out with them throughout the day at home. At night, I usually sleep with them in my bedroom to make sure that they feel safe.

Safety, trust & environment
I take your pets to regular walks as needed and I make sure that they get the exercise they need. I like running on a regular basis and I am happy to take your pet with me if that’s something they like. I often go on hikes and trips around town where I can bring them. I avoid leaving them alone at home for more than a couple of hours unless that’s something I have discussed with you first.
A typical day
Typically I wake up around 6:30am and take the dogs for a walk or run. I return and feed them and make sure they are having an active day. Around noon I will take them for another walk and usually give them a small treat. In late afternoon or early evenings, I will take them for a longer walk or hike or hang out around the dog park. I will make sure they eat after coming home and shower them if there is need. I will turn off the lights around 9:30pm.
