I plan my days around confirmed bookings, which means I can reliably accommodate house sitting, regular walks, and drop-in visits. I am available on weekdays and weekends, with capacity for morning, afternoon, and evening visits depending on the arrangement. I am also able to adjust my schedule with reasonable notice for repeat clients or ongoing care. When I commit to a booking, I structure my time to ensure I am fully present and consistent with the agreed routine, whether that involves staying in the home, attending set walk times, or completing scheduled drop-ins. Pet care is a central part of my weekly routine and something I organise my schedule around rather than fitting in around other commitments.

I ensure doors, gates, and entry points are secure at all times and check carefully when entering and leaving the property. If anything appears unusual with a pet’s health or behaviour, I act promptly, communicate clearly with the owner, and seek veterinary advice when appropriate. I have cared for animals for most of my life, both my own and those entrusted to me by others. I grew up in a home full of animals and have raised six cats and four dogs over the years, including poodles, cockapoos, greyhounds, miniature dachshunds, and two German shepherds. I am calm, dependable, attentive, and highly respectful of routines. Feeding schedules, medication, walk times, home care, and instructions are always followed exactly as requested. Consistency matters, especially when pets are in a familiar home without their owners. While studying in Wellington, New Zealand, I became well known locally for pet care, particularly for cats. I cared for Persians, indoor cats, outdoor cats, long-haired breeds, and cats with specific routines and personalities. This was our first time using this type of service and RT made it seamless. He is an experienced sitter and so made it so easy for us and we felt comfortable leaving the house and pets. We have 2 cats and a dog, so a handful! Communication before the sit was excellent, making the planning very easy and during the sit he kept in touch the right amount and the animals and house were in such good hands. The house was clean and tidy when we returned and the animals were well cared for. Would definitely recommend and welcome RT again. Thank you for making this such a great first experience.
RT was an excellent pet sitter looking after our miniature Goldendoodle Barney. Great communication from the initial online call and throughout the pet sit. He was flexible on when he could arrive and depart. He kept us informed of how Barney was doing with daily photos, videos and comments. Barney looked like he was having a really great time and we could see that RT had really bonded with Barney. I can recommend RT highly for other pet sits. Thanks for taking such good care of Barney and our house.
This was RT’s second sit, and we were very glad to have him back (and I think our cats were even happier!) RT arrived on time, and was happy to look after himself (and the cats!). Both cats and plants were well looked after in the week we were away, and all were healthy and happy when we returned. We’ve been very happy with RT and would thoroughly recommend him.
