Availability

I am currently working another job and work overnights. With advance notice, I can provide house sitting and doggy daycare, and I can fit drop-in visits and walks throughout my day. I am working to get a more flexible schedule so my current job won't affect helping with pets.

Safety, trust & environment

When caring for your pets, I tend to try to keep them on as normal of a schedule as possible. This not only keeps their routine the same for when you return home, but it also tends to cause less stress for the animals.

Information Ryan N. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know if any dietary restrictions and medications the dog (or other pets) have. I would also like to know about any behavioral issues (aggression, etc.) and their schedule. I have no breed preferences!

A typical day

We will go on walks in the neighborhood, or around a park. Reid Park is my favorite to walk at! We will play fetch and enjoy just relaxing! I also have the ability to provide mental stimulation. Lick mats and Kongs are my favorite thing to use!

Pet care experience

Hello! My name is Ryan, and I've been caring for animals for 20 years! I've been providing pet care through Rover since 2020, and I truly love getting to meet and care for pets of all kinds. I currently work another job overnight, but my schedule is flexible with notice, which allows me to spend plenty of time caring for pets during the day. I am also working toward adjusting my schedule to have even more flexibility in the future. I have experience working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments, and I've also volunteered with shelter animals. Because of that experience, I'm very comfortable working with pets from a variety of backgrounds. I understand that meeting a new person can be scary for some animals, and I'm always happy to give your pet the time and patience they need to feel comfortable. When your pet is with me, they will always be treated with the same care, attention, and kindness that I give my own pets. The services I am currently offering are: -Drop-in visits -Dog walks -Doggy daycare -House sitting Drop-in visits are 30 to 60 minutes, depending on your preferences and your pet's needs. If you're unsure about what would be best for your pet, I'm happy to help you decide. Because schedules can sometimes change, I do ask that drop-in visit times remain somewhat flexible. I always aim to arrive within 30 to 60 minutes of the preferred time, and I will communicate with you if there are any delays. If your pet has consistent accidents in the house a cleaning fee of $60 will be charged. Drop-in visits include: -30-60 minutes with your pet -Feeding and refilling water -Medication administration if needed -A short walk for apartment dogs Dog walks are 30 to 60 minutes depending on your preference. During the summer months here in Arizona, walks are typically scheduled in the early morning or evening to help keep myself and your pet safe from the heat. If your dog has protective shoes/boots for hot pavement, we can discuss a walk in the afternoon if that is what is needed as I can provide plenty of water. Afternoon walks will be kept to 30 minutes. House sitting takes place in your home so your pets can stay comfortable in their own environment. Because I work another job and care for my own pets and family, I do ask that pets can be left alone up to 8 hours per day if needed. I typically provide 2-3 visits throughout the day, with additional visits available for an extra charge if needed. Since I currently work overnight shifts, I do require advance notice so I can plan accordingly. I generally send one update per day, as my focus is caring for your pets, but you are always welcome to message me anytime and I will respond as soon as possible. Doggy daycare takes place in my home. I live in an apartment and do have pets of my own (dogs and a cat), but they will remain completely separated from guest pets. Requirements for daycare: -Pets must be up to date on rabies and distemper/parvo vaccines -Proof of vaccination is required -Pets must be comfortable around children as I have a 10 year old and an eight month old in the home. A meet and greet is required for all bookings. Dog walks, drop-in visits, and doggy daycare include one complementary 30 minute meet and greet. House sitting includes one 60 minute meet and greet. Any additional meet and greets will be scheduled as drop in visits. Updated vaccinations are required for all services. I do offer constant care, where I stay in your home and do not leave your pet unattended. Because I cannot take on other bookings during this time, constant care is charged hourly. It is $40/hour for one pet and each additional pet is $5/hour. I ask for at least 30 days notice for constant care bookings so I can arrange time off work and childcare.
