I prefer to meet with the client and their pet in their home before beginning the pet sitting assignment. Develop a rapport with both the pet and the pet parent. Determine if there are any primary concerns. Record all pertinent information, including emergency contacts, veterinarian information, feeding instructions, medications, alarm codes, etc. Discuss what each visit will entail and go over a typical day in the life of your pet. Be transparent about what time I will be at your home for each visit and for how long. Make sure to discuss any secondary tasks I might be expected to perform, such as watering plants, bringing in mail, or turning the lights on and off each day. I like to proactively communicate with the pet owner. Text them when I arrive at their house and give a status update, reassuring them everything is in order and their pets are doing well. I try to be as thorough as possible. I'm good at recognizing the needs pets and responding accordingly. I'm patient and calm with pets that are withdrawn or scared. Pets are sensitive to change and may be missing their people, so I maintain their schedule as much as possible. To keep pets safe in your home, I'll prioritize creating a pet-friendly environment by removing potential hazards like toxic plants, small objects, and unsecured electrical cords, ensuring access to fresh water and food, providing regular exercise, maintaining a safe space, and being aware of any specific medical needs the pet may have. I always keep my phone charged and on me in case I need to be reached.

Provide daily care for your pet or home, including feeding, walking, playtime, water replenishment, medications, cleaning, mail pickup, plant watering, etc. I will maintain your pet’s routine, making them feel safe and secure in familiar surroundings. I believe dogs need physical exercise and will make sure they receive it accordingly whether that's walking, playing at the park, or even throwing the ball in the yard. Mental stimulation is just as important for dogs as physical exercise and can help them live happy, healthy, and fulfilled lives. I like to get down on the pet’s level and interact with them one-on-one, rotating interactive toys, practice training, exploring new outdoor scenery etc.

Hi, I’m Ryan! I’m very passionate about dogs and providing the best care possible for any that are under my watch. I’ve been pet sitting, mostly dogs, for family, friends, co-workers, neighbors etc. for the last 20+ years. All types of dogs with different temperaments, conditions and at different stages of life. I’m capable and comfortable with dogs that require medical attention. Work extremely well with puppies. I can handle any dog big or small, high-energy or low-energy, anxious or fearless. Pet sitting is a responsibility I take very seriously. When you entrust your pets to me, you can rest assured that they’ll be treated as if they were my own. With regards to availability, I’m fortunate to have a flexible schedule and the ability to work from home every day. This allows me to consistently accommodate your pet's needs and give them the care and companionship they deserve. Currently, the services I can provide are in-home sitting during the day, overnight, or for an extended period of time, drop-in visits and dog walking. This is the first time we have ever left our pups with a sitter and we are so grateful we found Ryan! Our 2 dogs (5yo mini Aussie & 3yo golden) can be quite the handful - reactive and very high energy. Ryan was so patient and reassuring with us and the dogs to make sure everyone felt comfortable. He is easy-going, reliable, and communicative. Ryan took care of our dogs as if they were his own and they absolutely loved him. Definitely recommend Ryan to anyone!
Ryan was absolutely AMAZING! Words can't even come close to describing how pleased I was with Ryan's dedicated attention to our dogs. We have two corgis. Our girl Lucy is very outgoing and social, and our boy Walter is VERY skiddish and distrusting of new faces. The last time we had someone house sit, Walter never came out from under the bed for days, and they didn't try to develop a relationship with him. Ryan took the time to coax him out with gentle encouragement, toys and walks (which he loves). Each day Walter got a little braver and more social and it meant the world to me that Ryan put in the effort to work with Walter's anxiety. I received multiple updates each day with photos and videos of their walks. Ryan managed our home like it was his own as well. I felt completely at ease with Ryan from the moment I met him, and the entire time we were gone I felt stress-free knowing Ryan was genuinely caring for our dogs and working to develop a positive interaction with them. Ryan will definitely be our regular go-to sitter when we need one.
The best dog sitter ever. The dogs are upset he is gone. The house was left cleaner and better than we left it. He is amazing and I want everyone to know reserve early or you won't get him. Once you have had him it will be hard to have anyone else. Thanks Ryan for caring for them as much as we do.
