I’ve been caring for dogs and cats all throughout my life and enjoy getting to know each pet’s unique personality and routine. Over the years I’ve cared for pets belonging to family, friends, and loved ones, including a wide variety of animals with wildly different temperaments, ages, and care needs. Most recently, I dog sat for my girlfriend’s three-legged rescue dog for over two weeks while her and her family were away for a relative’s college graduation. Because of the traumatic experience of getting a leg amputated, he is quite afraid of people (other than my girlfriend), so building a trusting relationship with him through patience, consistency and loving interactions was an extremely necessary and rewarding part in order for the two weeks we spent together to be a successful and positive experience for both of us! I also cared for my friend’s two rescue cats for three and a half weeks while he was away. My responsibilities included feeding them, providing fresh water, cleaning and scooping the litter boxes daily, cleaning up after them, spending time playing with them, and making sure they were over just happy, healthy, and comfortable throughout my friend’s absence. I understand that every pet is different, and I take the time to learn their routines, preferences, and any special instructions. Whether it’s walks, feeding, administering basic medications, playtime, or simply providing companionship, I’ll care for your pets as if they were my own and I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you’re away!
