In a client’s home, I tidy up after the pet if need be, regularly clean the pet’s feeding area, refresh water as needed, provide post-walk grooming as needed (such a wiping paws or brushing fur), check the pet for optimal health, keep them on a regular eating & walking schedule, & monitor their food intake/waste output.

A feeding schedule with (close to) exact measurements of food/maximum number of treats allotted per day would be a huge help. Location of doggie bags, wipes, & additional necessities are required.
A typical day
Of course a dog’s favorite past time is walking and playing! We will also visit parks with your best friend’s favorite toy, promoting lots of much needed exercise! Cats love to do their own thing, but they are not exempt from play time (& maybe a little cat TV) either!
