Your pups can join the family
In a work from home environment, pets in my care are treated like family members. They are with me 100% of the time and they can have as much freedom as they wish, as long as they don't chase the residents cats. All of whom are dog friendly. I’m an advocate of rescue-all species especially cats and also a big advocate of good quality nutrition. My philosophy is that ones pays now for good quality pet food or pays later with expensive vet bills. I would rather that they have excellent food now and I do make a lot of homemade food for my animals. Read Dr Pitcairnes book on pet care! I live on 10+ acres and take everyone for morning and afternoon walks, weather depending. During winter months we usually go on longer hikes on neighboring ranches. I live well off the main road and there is zero danger of cars. Pups need to be well behaved around livestock and can join me as I feed the goats, horse and pigs. They will have adventures and romp through the fields. I take care to avoid any danger to rattlesnakes and use roads rather than fields with tall grass for walks.

Ruthie was great. We took our dogs on a walk when we arrived to get them aquatinted with her dogs. She updated us while the dogs were at her home with texts and pictures. I would say make sure your dogs are outside dogs and ok with several animals. She gave great directions but you are awhile from the Yosemite gate be prepared for that. Also, remember this is back country so if you are looking for pristine this would not be for you. Overall wonderful experience- hard to find dog sitters by Yosemite so plan ahead.
Ruthie was absolutely wonderful!! She takes such good care of her pups and did the same with mine. It was a relief not to have to worry about my pups while I did a hike in Yosemite. I can’t recommend her enough! I’ve always thought my pups would love the farm life and after seeing my pups at Ruthie’s place, it only confirms that ?
The best sitter. We always book with Ruthie when we are visiting Yosemite. Her dogs are so friendly and our pup always has the best time there. She truly cares for all her pets and gives us so much peace of mind.
Of all the people who have ever watched our dog, Ruthy is by far the best. She is amazing. Our pup loved her (and her pack. especially Strider). Highly recommended,we were able to have an amazing trip knowing she was loved and cared for while we were away.
Ruthie was great! Jasper loved all the outside time and interacting with the other animals. I wouldn't hesitate to leave Jasper with her again.
Very nice and very knowledgeable about dogs behavior. We were very happy with the service. We will be using her again when we go back. Jax slept like a baby when he got home thank you for watching him
