Availability
For pet sitting or a drop-in visit, it can be hard on your pet when they discover that their owners will be away for a period of time, no matter how short or long the stay. They benefit being in the complete comfort of their own home which reduces the anxiety factor. In addition, I make it a priority to nurture and give them the quality time they need. I enjoy seeing their happy waggle tails, knowing they are in their happy place. My significant other usually joins me, providing a fun pack when going on adventures like walks, hikes, or an extra belly rub. For overnight stays, I'm very adamant about not having pets sleep on/in the bed with me. They are very most welcome to sleep in the very same room with their favorite bedding or crate. If they do not have a bed or are crate trained, please provide the best towel or bedding they will feel most comfortable sleeping on.

There may be times when a furry one is on medication, short or long term, and may not find the administration of it pleasant. Not only do I have over 10 years experience of administrating medication, I also have a background in pharmaceutical technologies, and pre-med. ***CAMERA CLAUSE: I work part time remotely, while my significant other is fully remote. The work we do with our clients online is highly confidential, thus ask that any indoor cameras be completely turned and shut off. Also, if cameras are found in these areas (bedroom & bathroom) the stay will be canceled, the pet(s) will be boarded at the owner's expense, all fees are to be paid in full, and the contract is terminated immediately. Outdoor cameras are ok :) I am huge on, and take great pride in caring for another person's home AND privacy. When I am in another person's home, my job is to care for your fur babies, and make it a safe space. A cozy, warm and loving environment. If you do not feel comfortable having cameras turned completely off inside your home, know that it is completely ok. My recommendation would be to search for another sitter whom you feel more comfortable with. Take the time to decide what works best for you :)

MEET-&-GREET CONSULT: This is to cover for my time, gas, and assessment for fit. Book either as a Walk or Drop-in visit. It is easier to book this separate from the original stay you are requesting. I am also more than happy to jump on a quick zoom call if we cannot an in-person meet-and-greet. DROP-IN or WALKS: I am able to provide actual walks or drop-in visits if the distance is reasonable enough for me to get to your home. If it is further than my location and you would still like me to care for your furry ones, travel + gas is factored as a separate expense via venmo. Note: Please take note that if we have not worked together before, Rover never shares your address until a booking is confirmed on both ends. ______________________________________________________________________________ Other things that are good to know: - Do they bark a lot? - Are they potty trained? - Is it ok to take them out on car rides and field trips? - Do they pull on the leash? (If they do pull or this is allowed, I am not a good fit. Definitely not a cowgirl wrangler type) - How are they around other dogs? - Are they taking any medication? Here are some requests and etiquette when staying at Ruth's Casita (BOARDING): ~ Please bathe before staying over if they have an unpleasant odor. - Potty trained ~ On furniture or bed is allowed only for people ~ Leash etiquette (If they pull, please finding another sitter. Particularly if your fur baby is more than medium height/weight. Please look this up if you are not familiar with leash etiquette. They should not be pulling or jerking you around.) ~ Please bring plenty of doggy wipes to wipe their paws before coming inside. IF any potty accidents should happen, a cleaning fee of $50 will be applied to cover professional carpet cleaning costs {Cash or Venmo accepted}
A typical day
Walks to the park, through a neighborhood, dog parks, or a hike, so many great options! They'll get their pent up energy released in a fun natural environment :D Do they have a favorite toy or games they like to play? Done!

Pet care experience
I am huge proponent of reinforcing good habits, and safety, including leash etiquette. I highly encourage this so as to keep consistency with your pups, no matter the age. When I'm walking you furry little one(s), I am constantly on the lookout for other dogs that may not be receptive, making sure they don't eat anything while out walking (food, chocolate, etc), and picking up after them. Another form of etiquette I reinforce is "no begging" while I am eating at the table. For the puppy dog's health, safety, and good habit, I do not give out any food scraps or people food.
