Home full time-large fenced yard
PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING US! Retired middle-age couple will dog-sit in our home. (At least one of us is usually home during the day.) We take exceptional care of your dog(s) and give them lots of attention so they feel comfortable here. Our sweet toy poodle, Flossy, passed away on 10/4/18. We will always hold her in our hearts. We now have a 13 lb. 2-year-old poodle who loves other dogs especially if they are willing to play with her. We have been dog sitting through Rover for about 10 years and would love your dog as we love our Lucy. Experienced with most small breeds. Prefer dogs under 25 pounds. We live in a pleasant, safe residential neighborhood near Briargate. Low-key household with no children. Large fenced-in back yard where dogs can run and play. Central A/C. I will walk your dog regularly. We live near a park and creek ideal for walking dogs. Dogs will sleep in a crate/kennel at night indoors or in gated laundry room. Not accepting recently rescued dogs. Well-adjusted rescues are okay. Dogs must be potty-trained, reasonably well-behaved, and able to navigate stairs (including outdoor deck stairs). Aggressive dogs are not accepted.

Ruth and Greg were wonderful dog sitters over our 2-week vacation. Ruth set up a meet and greet in advance so we could check out their home and see if their poodle, Lucy, got along with our dog. Ruth made sure to go over all the details and care instructions. She was very responsive to text messages while we were away and sent pictures and videos. Our dog had a great time playing with Lucy. We will definitely be return customers!

Ruth really wanted to take care of our Jack. He is a high strung racing dog and she was not used to that. She took it in stride and did what it takes to make him feel at home. He played well with their poodle. We visited and she and her husband are wonderful people. Thanks Ruth T

I think my two pups Ivy and Fitz enjoyed staying with Ruth and her husband. I know they were treated well and I received several photos and a video. My dog Ivy is a rescue and has some behavioral obstacles. But Ruth was very patient with her. I’m thankful for that. We will book with them again.
Ruth was great with our dog Rocky. She asked lots of questions and was very attentive to making Rocky comfortable. I would definitely use Ruth again with our dog.

Schedule
My daily schedule is very flexible. I walk dogs as weather permits and play with them when they desire. Feeding schedule as owner requests. Dogs may be fed separately, if necesssary.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a large, fenced-in yard off of our deck. Dogs can play in yard whenever they want to do so. I do not leave them outside unattended for more than a few minutes.

A typical day
I sometimes walk the dogs at Cottonwood Park or along the creek near our home. In summers, I do this early (7:00 am) to avoid the heat. I am mostly a homemaker but do work from home on my computer about 1-2 hours per day.
