Snuggled + Loved Like My Own | WFH

Caring for animals isn’t just something I do, it’s a huge part of our family’s world. My husband is a board-certified veterinary surgeon, so we’re extremely comfortable caring for dogs with medical needs, seniors, post-op pups, or pets that just need a little extra attention. While he isn’t providing medical services through Rover, having his expertise in the home means I’m calm and confident in managing everything from medications to mobility challenges. Beyond that, I truly treat every dog like family. I’m patient, attentive, and I love learning each pup’s personality. Whether it’s a shy rescue who needs gentle reassurance or a senior who needs slow, steady care, your dog will always feel safe, supported, and loved here.

Ruth is AMAZING! My dog absolutely loves her. She always sends photo updates and little stories that make me feel completely at ease, and you can truly tell she adores animals and treats every pet like they’re part of her own family. I felt so confident knowing my pup was in such caring hands. Will definitely use her again! She has even fostered dogs and cats and worked her butt off to find them good, loving homes!

Ruth and her family were incredible! I reached out last minute and she didn’t hesitate to help. She took amazing care of my dog and treated him with so much love and attention. I got updates, he looked so happy, and I never once worried. I’m so grateful to have found her. I will 1000% be returning!! Thank you!

Safety, trust & environment

When your dog stays in my home, they’re treated like part of the family from the moment they walk in. I keep a calm, cozy environment with plenty of structure, so your pup always knows what to expect, regular potty breaks, snuggle time, playtime, and a consistent routine that helps them feel safe. I pay close attention to each dog’s personality and needs. If they’re energetic, we play and explore. If they’re anxious or shy, we go slow, build trust, and create a peaceful space where they can relax. I’m home throughout the day, so your dog gets plenty of interaction and reassurance. And because my husband is a board-certified veterinary surgeon, I’m extra confident caring for dogs with medications, mobility needs, or special routines. He isn’t providing medical services through Rover, but his expertise has helped me learn how to keep pets comfortable, observant, and well-loved. Your dog won’t just be looked after, they’ll be known, cared for, and deeply loved while you’re away. We have a large home and fenced in back yard.

Pets

A typical day

I love making every stay feel like a little vacation for your pup. We do lots of walks, backyard exploring, tug-of-war, fetch, and cozy snuggle sessions on the couch. If your dog likes mental stimulation, I add in enrichment games, treat puzzles, sniffing activities, or slow “brain walks” to help them burn energy in a calm way.

I always want to make sure your dog feels completely comfortable in my home, so the more I can learn about them upfront, the better their stay will be. I love knowing things like their daily routine, feeding schedule, favorite toys, and any little quirks that make them who they are. If your pup has allergies, medications, mobility challenges, anxiety triggers, or special needs, please share all of that with me so I can care for them exactly the way you do. I also like to know how they do with other dogs, how they behave on walks, and if there’s anything that helps them feel safe when they’re nervous or excited. Basically, tell me everything you’d want someone to know if they were watching your child. Those tiny details help me make their stay feel like home and ensure your dog is not just cared for, but understood and truly loved.
