I’m currently working part time remotely and doing online school from my home, so I’ll have plenty of time for pet visits! I love getting outside and going for long walks if your pet needs exercise. I also love just chilling and doing homework if your animal needs companionship!

Safety, trust & environment
When caring for an animal, I structure my entire routine around their needs and well-being—they are always my top priority. Having grown up with both dogs and cats, I understand the worry that comes with being away from a beloved pet. My goal is to provide a reliable, nurturing, and trustworthy environment for your furry family member—whether in your home or mine.

Information Ruth P. would like to know about your pet
Temperament is especially important to know in advance—**whether your pet tends to be energetic, anxious, shy, or reactive around other animals, I like to understand their personality so I can provide the best care possible and ensure a safe, comfortable environment. It’s also helpful to know their typical daily routine, including any medication needs, feeding schedule, and preferred walking route. The more I can stick to what they’re used to, the more at ease they’ll feel while you’re away.
A typical day
In Your Home: I love going on long walks and, if your pet enjoys playing fetch in the yard, I make it a priority to include at least 30 minutes of active play a few times throughout the day. On especially hot days, I adjust our play sessions to around 20 minutes to keep them safe and prevent overheating. In My Home: I live in a second-floor apartment, accessible by a few steps, with a dog park just behind the building and several walking paths nearby. When boarding pets here, I typically start the day with a 15–20 minute walk. If the dog park is available, I let them explore and roam freely for a while before we head back for breakfast. I also have a balcony, and I love keeping the door open so they can move freely between indoors and outdoors while supervised.

Your Pawsome pet pal!
Pet care experience
New to Rover but not new to the job! I’ve been taking care of pets for over 10 years, with boarding, housesitting, and walking. I grew up with dogs and cats in my home and am an avid animal lover. I have had dog/clients for over a decade and love documenting my time with my different petpals (if you’d like picture or video updates from your fur baby while you’re away). For boarding or doggy day care in my apartment, my partner also lives here and is a prior vet tech (so I have an extra pair of hands at home).

Reviews

Another amazing stay with Ruth and Danny! Torrance had the best time and I always feel so safe leaving him with them! They take such great care of him and I could not recommend them more!!

Ruth and Dan took such incredible care of Allie for a quick weekend trip. We met and immediately felt at ease - their spot is warm and welcoming and they clearly have a love and passion for dogs. Ruth was a great communicator - she answered quickly and sent many pics and updates about Allie. Allie unexpectedly got sick during her stay and Ruth took such good care of her. She kept me informed and updated - while making sure I knew Allie was in great hands. We are so grateful Allie was here for this stay. Would absolutely recommend to everyone!

Ruth was able to take bentley last minute! She sent updates and pictures often. Bentley looked like he was having lots of fun and looked very entertained!

Juneau had such a great time with Ruth and Dan! They gave us lots of picture updates and we could tell Juneau was in great hands. She will definitely be back!
