Hello! I’m Ruth and the cute furball in my profile photo is Bernard. When he passed he left a huge void in my life, but it opened up more opportunities to take care of my friends’ and family’s furry loved ones! I have always favored exotic pets. Growing up I had hedgehogs which I loved and played with as best I could. My grandparents had budgies and I always loved going to see them. Most of my friends had dogs and cats and THEY were always the first ones I looked for and greeted when visiting (sorry friends). My cousins had guinea pigs and when they went away they brought them to me to take care of. When I first moved out on my own I got my first rabbit and fell head over heels in love. I have a passion for all animals! I have been pet and/or house & pet sitting for 20+ years and have proved to be a reliable care provider. I have taken care of numerous dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and even a parrot! Young and senior, large or small, I loved them all! Either I have them in my home, or I move into theirs, whatever is most comfortable for everyone. I prefer to meet new families beforehand to make sure I will be a good match, and expectations can be discussed in regards to walking and exercise, feeding, special needs, and any extra care your pets will require while you are away. This also allows your pets to meet me and make sure they are comfortable around me, because I would never want force interaction with a pet that wasn’t. I understand and have experienced firsthand that all animals interact differently, and even the same breeds can have vastly different personalities. Hopefully my calm presence will set your pets at ease in what can be a stressful experience when their people go away for a period of time. I strive to create a comfortable, safe, and enjoyable experience for them. I will maintain their routines as best I can to keep them happy and healthy. I can send updates as regularly as requested, because they are more than just your pets, they are family. I want you to see they are in great hands, and that they are being cared for by someone who loves them as much as you do!
