Animal loving household with pets
I have had cats and dogs for 20 years, my husband was brought up with dogs and cats so between us we have 60+ years of experience with pets. We have our own livestock, sheep and hens as well as our own cats and dog. We regularly look after friends and families dogs too. We have a good indoor space, with areas where we can separate dogs if necessary, and have our own safe field where dogs can get off to run around, assuming they are livestock savvy as well as access to great country walks from the doorstep. We are close to Perth but far enough out to be nice and quiet.

Ollie had a great time at Ruth's the perfect place for him to stay whilst we were away. Ruth sent lots of settling in photos which put our minds at rest that we had made the right decision for his care. Ollie has obviously been happy during his stay. Would highly recommend

I would highly recommend Ruth anyday. She helped us out massively with a last minute booking and was very accommodating. Lovely friendly household in a great location. Our pup had a lovely visit and we will 100% be using her again for future trips.
Sonny had a fantastic time with Ruth and family, he enjoyed lots of running about with Kona, chasing frisbees and walks. Ruth kept me updated on his antics with photos, videos and wee messages which was very reassuring. He is very disappointed to be back home with me! Would definitely use Ruth again, thank you so much for looking after him x
We had such a great experience with Ruth! She took amazing care of our two cocker spaniels, and judging by the photos and updates, our dogs may have enjoyed their time too much 😄 Both pups were happy, relaxed, and clearly very well loved. Ruth was reliable, communicative, and it’s obvious she has a genuine love for animals. We came home to two very content (and slightly spoiled!) dogs. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again and highly recommend Ruth to anyone looking for a fantastic dog sitter.

Schedule
I currently work part time, 3 hours a day Monday to Friday, school term time only. Dogs will be walked before I leave and on my return.

Safety, trust & environment
Dogs will have full access to the kitchen and living room and a fenced outdoor space as well as regular exercise and toilet breaks in our secure field. We have space to crate if required but happy for them to be free range. We are a "dogs on the furniture" family but not in bedrooms/on beds as that is the cat space! However there is a sofa bed in the living room and a small box bedroom where one of us could sleep if a dog needed to sleep on a bed with human cuddles.
Pets
A typical day
First thing is morning walk around the paddock to let the chickens out and then home for breakfast. Some cuddles and play time, then quiet time. Lunchtime walk is around 1230pm, either round the back/bigger field or round the road. Then play time/chill time. Teatime walk around 5pm/5.30pm and tea. Evening play time and chill out. Bedtime walk around 9.30pm. Some days there will be walks in the woods or up a hill or in to the local village to the shop. There are lots of options.
