My name's Ruth, and I am a professional animal caregiver with extensive pet sitting experience. I would like to offer my drop-in and dog walking services to pet parents in Chapel Hill. I have been petsitting on Rover for 4 years, and I have been caring for other people's pets since I was eight years old, when I started my first cat-sitting gig that lasted many years. Since then, I have pet-sat for countless families' dogs, cats, rabbits, and rats. In addition to watching dogs and cats, I worked for three years at a farmed animal sanctuary, where I cared for cows, chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, guinea fowl, goats, and sheep. I am comfortable and competent caring for all types of animals, so I guarantee that your pets are in good hands!

Ruth stayed at our house for 2 weeks while we were away and took amazing care of our cat. She’s a very social kitty who needs social interaction and Ruth obviously gave her all the attention she needed. Our house was incredibly clean when we returned as well. I would not hesitate to ask Ruth to come back and watch our cat and house again! I definitely recommend her services.

Ruth was so wonderful to work with. She was extremely communicative when we needed a sitter last minute and put us at ease coming for a meet and greet with our 4 dogs and 2 cats the same day. She was unfazed by their boisterous greeting and sent plenty of pictures throughout her visits, even befriending the most skeptical of fur babies. We made last minute changes to scheduled visits and she agreed without hesitation. I highly recommend her!

Schedule
On certain weekdays, I work for a few hours in the evening. My schedule changes week-to-week, so make sure to check my calendar for up-to-date availability. I am usually free until 3:30pm on days when I work.
