A couple years ago I said goodbye to my 17 y/o Lab mix, Rome. He was found by a friend living in an alley and was a sorry sight. At the time I was going thru some tough stuff and a mangy sick malnourished dog with heart worm, fleas, tics and thrush was the last thing I needed! Turns out he was a a Gift from God (Dog spelled backwards). I know there is another great dog out there for me but I’m not seeking, I’m waiting. He was always my friend, never a pet. Fortunately I have the time, space and love for dogs to provide a vacation space for your Soulmates. . That is how I honor Rome’s memory. We walked twice everyday everywhere and I love introducing my Guests to a wide variety of adventures based on their abilities. I even have a dog stroller for those who enjoy the stroll without the work. My secure back yard/deck is excellent for exploring, sunning & playing with lots of room to “Rome” inside and out. No restrictions on furniture, I have a carpet cleaner for accidents and marking so its no big deal. I can give meds, shots, baths, and wonderful body massages/back scratches. I’ll have them purring like a kitten ☺️ I prefer they share my King size bed but respect your wishes. I have 40 yrs of varied nursing experience. Im currently a Home Health Nurse with a flexible schedule & reliable transportation. If you’re agreeable I will supplement their kibble with fresh protein/veggies and special treats. I am excited to meet your extended family!

Ruth is the best! She sent pictures everyday and treated our dog like it was hers. She took long walks and her fenced in backyard was perfect. We were gone for 10 days and we never had to worry about our dog….NEVER!

We had a wonderful experience with Ruth on Rover! She was able to take our dog, Millie, on very short notice, which we really appreciated. From the moment we dropped Millie off, Ruth made us feel comfortable and confident that Millie was in great hands. Millie clearly had a great time during her stay. Ruth took excellent care of her and made sure she felt right at home. We really appreciated the photos Ruth sent while we were away—it was great to see how happy and comfortable Millie was. It looked like Millie had a blast going on walks and even getting to enjoy some car rides. We’re very grateful that Ruth was able to help us out with a last-minute booking and provide such great care. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable and caring to watch their dog, and we would gladly book with her again!
Ruth took the best care of our two little puppy boys and treated them like they were her own! She sent a lot of pictures and communicated every day, which I truly appreciated. Ruth went over and above, she took great care of their every need during extremely cold temperatures! I will definitely be scheduling with Ruth again!
Ruth is absolutely amazing! From the moment we met her at our Meet and Greet, her love for dogs was so evident! She provided our Yadi with LOTS of love, one-on-one attention, walks, and play time while we were away. Ruth communicated with us during our entire absence, sending many photos and several videos. She is so energetic, fun-loving, and positive! We will definitely be contacting her again when we need someone to care for our fur baby. Ruth is a real gem!!

Schedule
I work from home but have appointments outside home during the day. My schedule is very flexible and I am rarely gone more than 3-4 hrs at a time. I am home evenings and weekends.

Safety, trust & environment
I currently have no pets so yours is the priority! I follow instructions well. I’m comfortable giving meds/treatments if needed. If they prefer a crate that’s fine. My home is pet friendly. They will get a lot of interaction.
A typical day
I am a Home Health Nurse who works primarily out of my home. This allows for lots of interaction and time for walks, play time and Spoiling!
