UPDATE: My husband and I have owned and trained our own dogs for much of our adult lives. . We have been Rover/DogVacay hosts since August, 2013, and have totally enjoyed the experience. We are extremely pleased to have so many repeat customers, and are very proud of the number of positive reviews we have received. We are very appreciative that our customers take time from their busy l lives to say such kind things about their pups' stays with us! Rufus, our Lhasa Apso mix, loves to run and play and doesn't know how small he actually is, so he plays with even our largest guests, if they are willing! After our beloved 17 1/2 year old black lab crossed the Rainbow Bridge, we added Java, a tiny lab/beagle mix, to our family. She has just 2 modes right now: PLAYING MADLY, and SOUND ASLEEP! We have also added Maya, a 2 year old toy poodle to our pack! We think dogs are like potato chips, and you can’t have just one. Or two! ;-) I am retired, after a long and wonderful career as a teacher, so I have a fairly flexible schedule for providing playtime, exercise and TLC for your beloved dog, along with ours. We have a very spacious backyard, surrounded by a 5 ft. tall fence, making it a perfect place for chasing tennis balls, playing tug, or playing in the sprinkler on a hot day. We would love to have your dog, large or small, stay with us while you travel. We will treat them as if they are our own, with plenty of play, attention and cuddling, while you are away! I am retired, and home quite a lot. Not 24/7, of course, but I have plenty of time for playing with and caring for pups! I have a fenced yard, and four small dogs to keep your fur-baby company. If your pup uses a crate at home they can use it here, as we have plenty of room.
