I've owned four dogs in the past 42 years and also cared for neighbors' and relatives' dogs. I miss our last dog so much, but are not ready to em"bark" on a new puppy journey just yet. I am retired and in great physical shape. You can rest assured your dog will be loved and given lots of attention!

Ruth helped take care of my dog, sometimes for months at a time while I traveled, from when he was 1 year old, until the last weeks of his 17-year old life in 2024. She always called if there were any health concerns and once took him to the vet when he was exhibiting illness. I never worried about his health or safety, and he was loved. She also took care of my mother's dog in her last years, and gave her the best possible care, which I believe extended her life for 6 more years.

Schedule
I normally go to the gym in the mornings, but it's an open schedule so can be home all day every weekday. If your pet is comfortable alone (if I must go out), there is a crate, blankets, a dog bed, toys etc. The home is two stories and a basement, but there are gates to block stairs if necessary.

I live on a court in a quiet neighborhood. Although we do not have fences, your doggie would not be outside without a leash and would be accompanied by me on potty breaks.
A typical day
I love to play with dogs, using their toys or ours, sit and stay, fetch. I love to talk to dogs, and would be happy to read to them too.

- Any information needed on your dog is welcome. Eating times, how often to take them outside for potty breaks. My last dog had diabetes so had to give him a shot every 12 hours. He was also blind in his last year, so I carried him outside and in for potty breaks.
