Dogs are our Greatest gift!
We practice and believe in total positive reinforcement for dog care, training, and pet safety. As a retiree I am home full time, and my wife is semi-retired and also works from home. We are very attentive to pet needs and safety. We are weekend puppy raisers for a well-known service dog organization, and our dog we adopted is a former service dog program dog. Dogs are as important to us as people, and we understand that dogs are intelligent emotional beings who mostly need love, attention, and of course food. You can be assured that your pet will be positively treated and cared for, and under a very watchful eye. Pets are a big part of our lives, and we know how important they are to our well-being.

We are so happy that we found Russ and Jan. Bella loves all the attention they give her, and she also enjoys having another furry friend to hang out with (their dog Reggie). We're very comfortable leaving Bella with them and are going to have to coordinate any future vacations around their availability. :)
Janet and Russ were wonderful for our Wheaten Terrier. So grateful we found them!
Phoebe's recent first long-term stay with Russ and Janet went very well. We were able to enjoy our vacation knowing that she was well cared for receiving her walks, cuddling, and belly rubs and watching the outside world from her "cat perch" in the front windowsill. They sent updates and immediately contacted us one day when she was not feeling well, which quickly resolved. She enjoys being with them and they enjoy having her! Very happy with the care they have provided. Their 1-dog at a time policy is reassuring that our dog will happily hang out in a quiet home environment, as she is used to at home.

We have a large fenced in backyard with frisbees and balls for playing fetch. We are very careful to make sure everyone is happy and secure both inside and outside. We not only think about the animals' physical needs, but also their emotional needs as well.

Walks in the neighborhood, hikes in the woods, playing fetch in our fenced in yard, We love snuggle time with our sweet yellow labs on the couch in our den while we watch tv, or just when we are hanging out.
