I’ve always loved animals and feel lively around cats and dogs. Although I couldn’t have pets growing up because of my mum's allergies, I spent lots of time caring for animals from friends, volunteering and farm work. I volunteered with stray cats for about a year in uni, helping with feeding, vet visits, neutering, and finding adopters. Through this experience I learned a lot about cat behavior, body language, and stress signals. I also learned how to help nervous cats feel safe around people, and be patient when caring those ones who are always alarmed and anxious. I’ve also regularly helped friends care for their adopted cats while they were away. I have done feeding, cleaning litter boxes, playing, giving attention, and simply keeping them company based on each cat’s personality and comfort level. I enjoy getting to know different cats, shy cats, energetic cats, cuddly cats, independent cats... :) I also love spending time with dogs. During a farm work exchange, I helped care for three family dogs with daily walks, feeding, and playtime. I’m comfortable with calm daily dog care and enjoy being outdoors. I’m a patient, observant, and responsible person. I understand how important trust and communication are when someone leaves their pet in another person’s care. I’m always happy to send regular updates and photos for owners who are away.
