I'm Rune (they/he), I live in San Jose (between Santa Fe & Vegas) on a 1-acre farm with my three dogs, two cats, and nine chickens. I'm a grad student, and would love to have your sweet dog join our pack for a day of doggy daycare, a weekend, or more! I've had cats all my life and dogs for 15 years. I used to foster for the Santa Fe Humane Society and worked with their most fearful, shut-down dogs...and then I kept adopting them :) I've also fostered puppies! I'd be happy to work with your dog, especially if they are fearful. Note: I DO NOT ACCEPT UNALTERED MALES OR UNSPAYED FEMALES, NO EXCEPTIONS. If a dog is found to be intact (not neutered/spayed), they will be quarantined immediately and MUST be picked up same-day with no refunds.

I'm Pet CPR Certified through The Frontline Coalition, which means I can resuscitate, save from choking, set a limb, etc. My little farm is fully fenced. I'm always here; I'm usually only away from home for one day a week, usually for six hours or less. My house is an old adobe, and I have multiple tall baby-gates so that animals can be separated if needed.

Rune worked with me on a short notice and was fantastic with our dogs to make them feel right at home. They are extremely knowledgeable about dog behavior and first aid which made me feel comfortable leaving Moose and Leo for a whole week. I'll definitely be using Rune's services in the future!
My pup, Schatzi, had the time of her life with Rune and her pack. I drove from out of state with my Schatzi and I was completely confident that she was going to be in good hands. She was with Rune and her pack for a week and it was hard to leave beastie was having so much fun and we were going back to our home where she is the only dog. I’m looking forward to returning and leaving my Schatzi in Rune’s care. Rune sent pics every with updates and that gave me peace of mind.
Rune was a lifesaver when I had a last-minute sitter cancellation. They immediately responded to my call for a replacement on very short notice, and even picked Clark up for me while I was stuck at work. And to top it off, Clark had the best time staying with Rune and their menagerie of critters. Already planning our next booking.
Rune was great with Jasper, even clipped out some matts behind Jaspers ears. The pictures were wonderful and timely.

Rune is wonderful, as a person and as a pack leader. They were so great with incorporating all the dogs. We never worried about the pups while Rune cared for them and Rune backed this up with many photos. The absolute best.
