Right now I help take care of 3 dogs who have been or are still working for Guide Dogs for the Blind. I have multiple days a week free and would like to take care of more animals.

Please let me know if your pet has any special needs, be they dietary or mobility. A young dog will want a lot of excercise and older dogs might have digestive or mobility issue. I'll work with every pet individually.
A typical day
I'll love getting the dogs out and into their neighborhood so that they can excercise their bodies and get to see, smell and know their friends and neighbors. This includes dog parks , urban settings or mountain walks

I love being around these animals as they give so much. My family and I have raised 6 guide dog puppies annd three breeders, over the last 14 years.

Rufo has been walking Janet regularly since I moved to the neighborhood 8 years ago. As a paramedic, I work long (often odd) hours, and it brings me great peace of mind knowing that while I’m away, Rufo provides Janet the love, attention and exercise she needs and deserves. Rufo and his family work closely with Guide Dogs for the Blind, and it shows in how he lovingly and adeptly interacts with Janet and the other dogs in the neighborhood. They love him and he loves them back. I can’t recommend Rufo enough.
Rufo has taken care of my Portuguese Water Dogs for years. I needed a dog walker due to my job obligations. I trust Rufo 100% and know he always has my dogs best interests at heart. His experience as a puppy raiser at Guidedogs is nothing short of amazing and he has produced many certified guide dogs for the blind over the years. One of my two dogs is reactive and Rufo has no problem managing him around other dogs using avoidance techniques and distracting him so he only has eyes for Rufo. By selecting Rufo as your dog walker, you are getting a guy that loves dogs, has years of training experience, and is reliable. Rufo is also one of the nicest guys in the neighborhood and always willing to lend a helping hand.
Rufo loves dogs and is an experienced dog handler having had dogs , and other animals his entire life. He has learned much over the years as a volunteer at Guide Dogs for the Blind, as a puppy raiser, and breeder custodian. He is caring and very responsible, and dogs love him!
