We’re an Essex-based couple, huge animal lovers and proud owners of a 65kg Great Dane named Dobey, so big and boisterous dogs are nothing new to us! Most walks and drop-ins are done together, giving us two sets of eyes, especially with larger or reactive dogs. We have experience working with trainers and behaviourists and are happy to follow any routines or training you have in place. We also have two cats and experience caring for senior cats and dogs, including medication needs. We always arrange a meet and greet first so we can get to know you and your pet properly 🐾

We always make sure pets feel safe and comfortable in their own home and stick closely to their usual routine. We also have lots of experience with reactive dogs and have worked closely with behaviourists and trainers, so we’re confident following any routines or training you already have in place. We’re also happy to offer suggestions where helpful, while always following what works best for you and your dog.

Rue & James were both lovely, they kept us updated throughout with messages and pictures of Thanos, which was great for our peace of minds. Thanos can be a scaredy cat, so it was so nice to see how his friendship with Rue was progressing and seeing him more relaxed with her by end of the week. I'd definitely recommend them both and I'll be booking them to look after Thanos, next time we're away.

Rue and her partner did an excellent job of looking after our dog. Our dog is medium/large Whippador and they looked after her at their house for over a month. We were posted abroad before our dog could be transported to us. Rue went above and beyond, by taking our dog to her Vet to get her medical clearance and insurance to travel across Europe. Rue also met and delivered our dog to the dog transport company. Rue and her partner were very calm and kind to our dog during her stay with them and from the videos and photos Rue regularly sent we could see our dog was very happy with them and felt like she was home away from home. Rue and her partner also helped to train our dog with better lead walking and accommodated with her separation anxiety. They were both excellent and I would highly recommend them to look after your pet as ‘holiday pet parents’.

Schedule
We have a really flexible schedule, and there’s almost always someone at home. This means we’re very flexible with drop-ins and walks and can easily work around your pet’s usual routine.
