Pet care is a natural part of our daily life. One of us works from home full-time, and we both have flexible schedules, which allows us to provide consistent attention and supervision throughout the day. Even when we do step out, we work close to home and are able to check in frequently as needed. This ensures that dogs are never left alone for extended periods and always have regular interaction, bathroom breaks, and care. Our own dogs are on a structured routine for feeding, exercise, and rest, and we integrate visiting dogs seamlessly into that schedule. This consistency helps all dogs feel comfortable, secure, and well cared for. Overall, your dog will be in a home where care, attention, and supervision are part of our everyday lifestyle—not an afterthought. 🐾

Safety, trust & environment

Your dog’s safety and well-being are our top priorities. We care for every dog as if they were our own, with a structured, attentive, and calm approach. In our home, dogs are always supervised during playtime—especially when interacting with other dogs. We carefully assess temperament and energy levels to ensure safe, positive interactions. If needed, we can easily separate dogs to give them their own space and maintain a stress-free environment. Our property is a large, private and partially-fenced rural acreage with plenty of room to run and play, but all outdoor time is always human-supervised to ensure safety at all times. We also follow consistent routines for feeding, rest, and activity, which helps dogs feel secure and settled. We maintain a clean, smoke-free home and follow strict guidelines when it comes to introductions, feeding, and downtime. Crating is always used when dogs are left unattended, both for their safety and comfort (we only accept crate-trained dogs). We only accept dogs who are fully vaccinated, house-trained, and well-adjusted, which helps us maintain a safe environment for all dogs in our care. Clear communication is very important to us—we’re happy to provide updates, photos, and check-ins so you always know how your dog is doing. Our goal is simple: a safe, structured, and loving environment where your dog can feel comfortable, secure, and cared for at all times. 🐾

Information Rudy & Michelle Z. would like to know about your pet

To provide the safest and best possible care, we ask that you share any important details about your dog ahead of time. This includes: > Any medical conditions or special needs > Behavioural traits (e.g., anxiety, reactivity, aggression, separation issues) > Food preferences, feeding schedule, or allergies > Comfort level with other dogs and new environments > Any routines or training cues you’d like us to maintain The more we know, the better we can tailor our care to ensure your dog feels safe, comfortable, and at home. Requirements: > Dogs must be fully vaccinated (proof required) > Must be fully house-trained > Must be crate-trained (for when left unattended) These standards help us maintain a safe, structured, and positive environment for all dogs in our care. 🐾

A typical day

Each day is structured, active, and tailored to the needs and energy levels of the dogs in our care. Mornings start with a bathroom break and some light outdoor time or a walk, followed by breakfast and a calm period to relax and settle. Throughout the day, dogs enjoy plenty of supervised outdoor play on our spacious acreage—whether that’s running, exploring, or just lounging in the fresh air. We also take dogs on leashed walks around the neighbourhood or on our property. We mix in play sessions, mental stimulation (like basic commands or enrichment activities), and plenty of affection and attention. If your dog enjoys socializing, they can safely interact and play with our dogs. If they prefer their own space, we’re happy to accommodate that as well. Afternoons typically include more outdoor time or a walk, and for dogs who enjoy it, trips to local dog parks are an option. We balance activity with rest to ensure dogs don’t become overstimulated. Evenings are calm and relaxed, with dinner, light activity, and wind-down time before bed. Dogs sleep in a safe, comfortable environment, following your preferences as closely as possible. Throughout the day, we focus on creating a positive, low-stress environment where dogs feel secure, engaged, and cared for—like a home away from home. 🐾

Pet care experience

We’re a married couple without children, but proud “dog parents” to our three pups: Mollie, Lacey, and Bruce. Mollie, our 14-year-old Black Labrador, has been with us since she was two-months old. We’ve invested a lot of time in her training—she knows a wide range of commands and tricks, is exceptionally well-behaved, and has a friendly, social temperament with people of all ages and most other dogs. Lacey, also 14, our Goldendoodle, joined our family when she was two-years-old and has been an absolute joy! She’s affectionate, well-adjusted, and has virtually no behavioural issues—truly a gem. Bruce, our two-year-old Pyrenees–Akbash mix, rounds out the pack. He’s incredibly friendly, gentle, and loves both people and other dogs, as well as cats. He brings a calm, easygoing energy and gets along wonderfully with everyone he meets. Because we care so deeply about our own dogs, we understand how important it is to trust the people caring for yours. We are very selective about who looks after our dogs, and we bring that same level of care, structure, and attention to every dog we host. Our Home & Care We live on a private, spacious, and partially fenced rural property just five minutes outside of Spruce Grove, with over three acres of open space for supervised play and exercise. We also have access to nearby municipal dog parks if that’s something you’d like for your dog. We’re happy to accommodate your preferences—whether your dog socializes with ours or enjoys their own space. Your dog will be treated like family and receive plenty of attention, structure, and affection. We follow consistent routines for feeding, play, and interaction to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all dogs in our care. Our home is smoke- and drugs-free. Requirements & Policies Dogs must be fully vaccinated (up-to-date records required). Must be house-/potty-trained. Must be crate-trained (for times when left alone). Booking Note: Bookings are based on a 24-hour period. Pick-ups beyond that window may be subject to an additional charge. We’d love to meet you—and your furry family members! 🐾

Rudy did a wonderful job looking after our dog on short notice going above and beyond giving him plenty of walks and exercise as well as socialization with the other dogs. He also provided lots of pictures and updates while we were away which is appreciated! Will rebook in the future!

Rudy and Michelle took care of Zach, my one-year old golden doodle, for a week. Lots of walks and play with them and their dogs. Zach had a great time and enjoyed the extra time outside and the fresh air. I would highly recommend Rudy and Michelle.
