We have been dog and cat sitting via Rover and independently for over 2 years now, and we absolutely love it! We enjoy getting to know lots of different dogs and cats, with such different personalities! Separately we have always had pets of our own!

Ruby was an absolute star with my little daschshund Ross - accepting a short notice booking after I needed to be away for the weekend. He can be an anxious sausage when left somewhere new but I could tell right away that he was going to be just fine, Ruby was super attentive and understood how to make him feel at home and was totally comfortable giving him the little bit of medication he needs at the moment, too. Communication was great all the way through the weekend and I would have no hesitation leaving him with Ruby and her partner again.
Ruby and her partner were great at caring for Eva. I received little updates of messages and a photo show she was settled. Really helped me feel she was safe and being cared for. This was the first time I've used Rover so initially I was nervous about leaving Eva but Ruby made me feel reassured. Will definitely book again as Eva was very happy.
Our pets had such a great time with Ruby, we could really tell they were taken care of, to such an extent that our dog was sad to go! Ruby kept us updated on how they were doing and really assured us that they were in good hands. Definitely recommend.
Ruby and her partner always take great care of Poppy, I've used them several times now and Poppy is always excited to see them and has a great time when she's there. They are very kind and understanding when Poppy has a barky moment as well! Would recommend them wholeheartedly, including for nervous pooches.
We booked Ruby and Josh again for our young and energetic dog 😁 They’re brilliant, very experienced and I fully trust them with my dog. Whenever he is at Ruby’s, we know he is having a great time. Thank you guys! 🙏
Luna looks like she’s had the best time staying with Ruby, she didn’t want to leave! Ruby sent updates & pictures which put my mind at ease and was super flexible with me booking last minute. I would definitely book with her again :)

Schedule
We have a large flat across 2 floors with a fenced terrace! I work a 9-5 Monday to Friday but my partner is currently recovering from surgery and is around at home to care for any animals in the day time!

Safety, trust & environment
We are living in Kemptown so can easily take dogs for walks to either the beach or Queens Park! The small fenced terrace is great for the hot weather and an opportunity for dogs to get fresh air at all times!
A typical day
Lots of exploring different parts of the local parks and lots of playing ball if they wish! Also can ensure they get the right amount of cuddles.
Prices include all fees.
