I've loved animals, especially dogs my whole life and being autistic has given me a deep connection and understanding of animals. I have an almost 11 year old dog called Chester. My own experience with him has given me patience with anxious or loud dogs and an understanding of the importance of a dogs routine. I taught my dog basic tricks as a puppy and would love to learn to teach more. I have minor experience at my dogs old doggy daycare where I dealt with dogs ranging from puppies to great Danes and am able to adapt to your dogs individual routines.

Ruby looked after my 2 staffies Ruby & Frank for the weekend. My dogs can be a handful at times, especially when playing together as one is getting older whilst the other still a puppy. Ruby met both my dogs prior to the house sitting weekend in my home. Both dogs took to her immediately and I loved the fact she instantly interacted with them. Frank the younger of my dogs especially took to her and didn't want her to leave. Ruby sent regular updates on how they were doing as they can fret a little and get anxiety when I'm not home, but they were perfectly fine and looked happy. It was lovely to see how Ruby is with dogs and you clearly see that she adores them. I will definitely be booking in the future with her.
Over the years, I’ve seen Ruby with her own dog who she clearly loves and cherishes having had him since he was a young pup. So much so, she assisted me on occasions with my own and my clients’ dogs when I needed an extra pair of hands running a home based doggy day club. Watching her with the dogs who ranged from tiny to huge, puppies to adults of all breeds and temperaments was a joy. Ruby has a real calming way with dogs and is quietly and confidently self assured in her interactions with and handling of them. The dogs gravitated towards her for attention and cuddles which she gave freely but being conscious to do so only at the rate that was right for the dog. Ruby cares for our dog in our home regularly when we're out at work. She is responsible and reliable and loves our pooch. She feeds, walks and plays with him and keeps him in his routine. It gives me peace of mind while I'm out that our prescious boy is well cared for and he always settles with Ruby. I would highly recommend her for pet sitting in your home.
