Animals have always been my passion. I stopped eating meat when I was six years old after realizing that the chickens on the farm were the same animals used for chicken nuggets. Since then, caring for animals has been a core part of who I am. For the past four years, I’ve worked part-time at a local veterinary office as a kennel attendant, caring for boarded dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, breeds, and temperaments. From shy seniors to chaotic zoomie goblins, I genuinely love them all. In addition to my veterinary experience, I run my own pet sitting business, Vineyard Pet Pals, and have built a wonderful base of loyal clients across Martha’s Vineyard. Over the years, I’ve cared for hundreds of animals, including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, chickens, and reptiles such as bearded dragons. I specialize in: • Puppies and young dogs who are energetic, playful, and thrive with companionship and socialization • Senior pets and hospice care • Shy or anxious animals • Socializing dogs who are nervous around other dogs • Medication administration, including pills, liquids, topical medications, and subcutaneous fluids • Pets with complex medical needs I’m very comfortable maintaining routines, monitoring health issues, and making sure every animal feels safe, loved, and comfortable. I’m highly attentive to subtle changes in behavior, appetite, energy level, mobility, breathing, and overall demeanor, and I take pride in noticing early signs that a pet may be uncomfortable, stressed, or not feeling well. Your pets are never “just animals” to me — they are family, and I care for them exactly as I would my own. 🏡 Boarding in My Home I provide boarding in a safe, loving home environment with: • A fully fenced, escape-proof yard • A dog door for small to medium-sized dogs to have free access to the yard whenever they’d like • Plenty of playtime, cuddles, and supervision • Friendly resident dogs for companionship and socialization While dogs of all sizes are welcome, I especially enjoy caring for small and medium-sized dogs. My home is a great fit for playful, active dogs who enjoy having playmates and staying engaged throughout the day, as well as dogs with more relaxed personalities and lower-energy needs. For everyone’s safety, I cannot board dogs with true aggression toward other animals or a strong prey drive, as I have several small pets at home and frequently care for other clients’ pets in addition to my own. 🛏️ House Sitting Note For house-sitting bookings, I only accept requests where my senior dog, Pippi, can accompany me. She is calm, gentle, and sleeps most of the day, and she simply needs to stay with me during overnight visits. I have limited availability for house-sitting, so advance notice is greatly appreciated (ideally one month or more). 💚 Final Note My life revolves around animals, and I truly spend more time with pets than people — exactly how I like it. I take enormous pride in providing attentive, compassionate, and knowledgeable care, and I strive to make every pet feel safe, understood, and deeply loved.
