🐾 PLEASE READ BEFORE REQUESTING • Located on Martha’s Vineyard only — I do not accept bookings located off-island. • I have three dogs of my own and almost always have other friendly dogs here for boarding, daycare, or playdates. Boarding/daycare guests should be comfortable in a social, multi-dog home. • Pet First Aid & CPR certified • Dogs of all sizes are welcome, but I prioritize small and medium-sized dogs. • I cannot and will not board dogs with any aggression toward other animals or a strong prey drive. Nervousness, shyness, or needing time to warm up is completely fine. • House-sitting is very limited and I only accept bookings where my senior dog, Pippy, can accompany me. • Rover takes a pretty significant cut from sitter earnings, so my Rover prices are set higher than my direct rates so I can still make the booking worthwhile after fees. I try to keep my pricing fair and transparent, but I generally don’t negotiate listed Rover rates. Longer stays, transportation, multiple pets, or more involved care may be quoted separately depending on what’s needed. I stopped eating meat when I was six years old after realizing that the chickens on the farm were the same animals used for chicken nuggets. Since then, caring for animals has been a core part of who I am. For the past four years, I’ve worked part-time at a local veterinary office as a kennel attendant, caring for boarded dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, breeds, and temperaments. From shy seniors to chaotic zoomie goblins, I genuinely love them all. In addition to my veterinary experience, I run my own pet-sitting business, Vineyard Pet Pals, and have built a wonderful base of loyal clients across Martha’s Vineyard. Over the years, I’ve cared for hundreds of animals, including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, chickens, and reptiles such as bearded dragons. I specialize in: • Puppies and young dogs who are energetic, playful, and thrive with companionship and socialization • Senior pets and hospice care • Shy or anxious animals • Helping dogs who are nervous around other dogs become more comfortable and confident • Medication administration, including pills, liquids, topical medications, and subcutaneous fluids • Pets with complex medical needs I’m very comfortable maintaining routines, monitoring health issues, and making sure every animal feels safe, loved, and comfortable. I’m highly attentive to subtle changes in behavior, appetite, energy level, mobility, breathing, and overall demeanor, and I take pride in noticing early signs that a pet may be uncomfortable, stressed, or not feeling well. Your pets are never “just animals” to me — they are family, and I care for them exactly as I would my own. 🏡 Boarding in My Home My home is a social, multi-dog environment with: • A fully fenced, escape-proof yard • A dog door for small to medium-sized dogs to have free access to the yard whenever they’d like • Plenty of playtime, cuddles, and supervision • Three small, friendly resident dogs • Regular boarding, daycare, and playdate guests for companionship and socialization My home is especially well suited to playful, active dogs who enjoy having friends and staying engaged throughout the day, but relaxed and lower-energy dogs are welcome too. 🛏️ House Sitting For house-sitting bookings, my senior dog, Pippy, must be able to accompany me. She is calm, gentle, and sleeps most of the day; she simply needs to remain with me during overnight visits. My availability for house-sitting is much more limited than my other services, so advance notice is greatly appreciated — ideally one month or more. 💚 Final Note My life revolves around animals, and I genuinely spend more time with pets than people — exactly how I like it. I take enormous pride in providing attentive, compassionate, knowledgeable care and making every pet feel safe, understood, and deeply loved. I have extensive references and reviews from both Rover and my private clients, and I treat every animal in my care as if they were my own.
