I studied animal behaviour in college and have had hands on experience with this so I am knowledgeable in reading behaviour of dogs, cats, etcetera, so I am very vigilant.

Understanding your pet’s behavior, whether they are social, shy, or anxious, will help me provide the right amount of attention and care. I’ll also need to know about any medical conditions, medications, or special care routines. If your pet has a preferred activity level, such as being more energetic or relaxed, I can plan the appropriate exercise and playtime. Additionally, knowing any training or behavioural needs, as well as comfort items like favourite toys or blankets, will ensure your pet feels comfortable and safe.
A typical day
A typical day caring for pets involves a mix of fun activities tailored to each pet’s needs and preferences. For dogs, I enjoy going for walks in the park, where we can explore new scents and get some exercise. I also love engaging in playtime with fetch or tug-of-war to keep them active and entertained. For cats, I enjoy interactive play with toys like feather wands or laser pointers to stimulate their hunting instincts. I make sure to provide plenty of attention and cuddles, especially for those who enjoy quiet time. Throughout the day, I ensure they receive proper care, including feeding, cleaning, and administering any medications if needed. Each pet gets a personalised experience, ensuring they feel safe, loved, and mentally stimulated.

Pet care experience
Academically, I hold a Level 3 Technical Diploma in Animal Management and recently graduated with a 2:1 in Wildlife Conservation with Zoo Biology, earning a First for my dissertation. Whether you have a playful puppy, or a senior pet needing extra TLC, I’ve got the knowledge, experience, and genuine passion to care for them like they’re my own.

Having 2 cats and 2 dogs it was getting increasingly more difficult to ship the off to different places when away. This was the first time I ever had anyone pet sit at my house and I couldn't have had a better experience. Right from the start Ruby was quick to reply, very professional and immediately put me an ease. I terms of the actual stay, I loved the daily updates on all our pets and I could tell Ruby has put a lot of effort in ensuring every day was fun and fulfilling for them - I can honestly say this was the first time since I got my older dog over 2 years ago that I was able to fully relax whilst being away. On our return both dogs were tired but very happy and I didn't even get the usual cold shoulder from the cats! Overall, I can wholeheartedly recommend Ruby to anyone and will definitely book her again in the future, she has taken fantastic care of my pets❤️.
Great communication, kept us updated with how Ronnie was getting on and left the house spotless and clean. Also Ruby is clearly experienced with dogs and knows exactly how to care for them - she’s also a really lovely person. Would highly recommend.
