As a stay-at-home mom with a lovable Shih Tzu of my own, caring for pets is a natural part of my daily routine. I’m home throughout the day and already spend lots of time walking, playing, and giving attention to my dog—so welcoming your furry friend into our routine comes naturally and with lots of love.

At our home, every fur-babe is welcomed like a member of our family. Upon arrival, they’ll be given time to explore and settle in comfortably, at their own pace. I strive to create a warm, stress-free environment filled with cozy nooks, comfy beds, and plenty of playtime in our large back yard. The neighborhood also has a large park I can walk them to for some exercise and extra sunshine. I’ll ensure they have a familiar routine and are given lots of attention, from gentle belly rubs, to snuggles on the couch. I love sending photos and updates to keep you connected! You can rest assured knowing your pet is happy, safe, and surrounded by love while you’re away. Pets can sleep in an enclosed area with blankets and a bed or in a crate, if preferred.

1) Let me know of any potential challenges up front, please. Food aggression? Fear? Blindness/hearing loss, etc. I have two children and want to make sure we all (including your dog) stay safe and comfortable. There are plenty of cozy areas I can put your dog, if they don’t like kids. 2) Please let me know about feeding schedule and any medications. 3) Please let me know what their favorite place to nap and sleep at home is. I will do my best to accommodate and replicate that space here at my home. Pets are allowed on furniture, if invited. (Which they most likely will be)! :)
A typical day
I’ll keep your dog as active as they want to be, whether that means plenty of play and walks or extra rest and gentle care for older pups. I love keeping dogs active and happy with regular walks, games of fetch, and tug-of-war with their favorite toys. After playtime, there’s always plenty of snuggle time on the couch for some well-deserved relaxation and affection.

I’ve been around dogs my entire life—from growing up with family pets to caring for my own as an adult—giving me years of hands-on experience and a deep understanding of their needs, behavior, and personalities. I’m a true dog-person and absolutely love being around them—they bring so much joy and companionship to everyday life. Sadly, I’ve had two of my own dogs pass away after living long, happy lives, but through that, I’ve gained valuable experience in providing the special care and attention older dogs often need. Caring for dogs isn’t just something I do—it’s something I genuinely love. 💞 First time using Rover?
