Experienced, loving and compassionate pet caregiver, sitter and dog dad. I am a passionate animal lover with 20+ years of pet care experience. I have had two 125+ lbs Rottweilers, 110 lb Giant Schnauzer, 20 lb Cocker Spaniel, a 45 lb Pit Bull, a 65 lb Pitbull, and a 100 lb Red Nose Pitpull. Usually at least 2 at a time. I have cared for all other types and sizes as well, from a 20lb Cockapoo to 100 lb Labradors and Retrievers. I can provide dog walking, overnight stays, and drop-in visits. My goal is to provide a safe, fun, and loving environment for your pets. Let's connect and give your furry baby as much care and attention while in my care as you would give them. The money is nice, but I do this for the love of animals. Your Pet's Safety & Happiness is My Top Priority

Ruben always takes great care of our fur babies. This is the second time that he has watched them while we were out of town and they just love him!!
He was very attentive to my dogs and was very knowledgeable about everything dogs. He even helped to train my younger dog to walk better on a leash. I will definitely be using him again the next time we go out of town.
Ruben was amazing with our high maintenance doggos. He spent lots of time with them, playing and walking them, making sure they were stimulated and getting their exercise. We hope to book with him again!
Ruben was great and seemed to take great care of Henry. I would use him again if the need arises and he is available.
Ruben is absolutely amazing! We have a ~12 yro grumpy mini schanuzer who was a rescue and is still always nervous about meeting new people. Sherman's grumpiness didn't faze Ruben at all and (to our surprise) he had Sherman cuddling up to him within just a few minutes. While we were out of town, Ruben sent us tons of updates and photos. We could tell from the photos of snuggles that Sherman had a fantastic time, plus he was super relaxed when we got back. And on top of the awesomeness with the dog, Ruben also was an amazing house guest - I think the house was tidier when we got home than when we left. I can't recommend Ruben enough if you need someone to look after your pup.
I dropped-off my Golden Retriever puppy, Charlie, to be watched by Ruben on a number of occasions. The drop-off was easy and hassle free. My dog immediately felt comfortable with Ruben and was on his way to have a great day of play and fun as well as a bit of much needed training. Ruben is professional, polite, and very knowledgeable about dogs, especially large breeds. Ruben gave me great advice on training and nutrition for my Charlie. I cannot recommend Ruben highly enough. He is an all around great guy and he loves animals. I would trust him with my beloved furry son for weeks. Charlie can't wait to go back and play another day at Ruben's!

Schedule
I do remote work from home during the day, and a part time job a couple of times a week. This leaves me with almost all day everyday to be able to spend time playing and caring for your loved ones.

Safety, trust & environment
You dog will be kept company and engaged by me all day. I make sure to combine mind stimulating and enriching games and play with a good bit of exercise. I let them dictate the time and activity for the most part, but will also look to engage them if they are sedentary. So they decide if it is tug of war, fetch, or sniffing out kibble I spread throughout the yard.
A typical day
Fetch, Tug Of War and Wrestling. They choose, but I make sure to initiate if they are a little shy or hesitant. They have 2 boxes full of toys which they are allowed to grab and move around as they please.
