Hello! I’m Ruben, a retired Army First Sergeant with over 20 years of military service. Throughout my career, people trusted me with important responsibilities. Today, I bring that same reliability, integrity, and attention to detail to caring for your pets and home. Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve cared for dogs, cats, rabbits, turtles, chickens, and even an iguana named Rex. My first dog, Dotti, taught me what unconditional love truly means. As she grew older, I helped care for her every day, making sure she stayed comfortable, happy, and loved. That experience has stayed with me ever since. I’ve volunteered with the Humane Society, pet sat for family and friends, and have experience working alongside veterinarians. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, senior, or needs a little extra patience, I’ll care for them with kindness, respect, and compassion. While you’re away, you’ll receive regular updates, photos, and honest communication so you always know how your pet is doing. My goal is simple: to give your pets the love and attention they deserve while giving you complete peace of mind. Your pets will be cared for and loved as if they were my own. I would be honored to earn your trust.

Ruben was amazing with our senior weenies! He also left our house just as clean as we left it. He talks about taking care of active dogs which is amazing, but for anyone looking for someone to just cuddle their seniors and be there for them, he’s perfect for that too just so ya know (: lots of pic updates and loving on our pups. We are so thankful!

Schedule
I’m fully retired after over 20 years of military service, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to provide dependable pet care throughout the day. I offer morning, afternoon, evening, weekend, and holiday visits. Whether you need daily drop-ins, extended vacation care, or last-minute help, I’m available to work around your schedule.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
Your pet’s safety and your home’s security are my top priorities. I follow your pet’s normal routine, provide fresh food and water, medication if needed, walks, playtime, and plenty of attention. I also perform home security checks, bring in mail and packages, water plants, and make sure everything is secure while you’re away. As a retired Army First Sergeant, I understand responsibility, reliability, and treating your home with respect.
A typical day
We will go on morning and evening walks in the neighborhood and park for exercise. During the day play fetch. After we can hang out eat some snacks because we’ll def be hungry! End the night watching TV together and get a good belly rub.
