I'm available any day of the week because I'm a student and do not work a normal job, other than pet/house sitting. As a home body I’ll be spending most of, if not all, of my time at home with whoever I’m lucky enough to be caring for.

I'm happy and comfortable around most(I haven’t met every breed yet so I can’t say all!) breeds of dog, or cat, and I'll always have the safety of your furry companion at the front of my mind. Whether that means being mindful of animals that are a flight-risk when opening the front door, or sitting out with your pets when they're in your fenced in back yard to make sure they’re safe . I'm also comfortable dog walking, and never take risks with my beasties so I certainly won't with yours!

Please let me know if your beastie or home has fleas. It won’t stop me from accepting the job, but it will give me the chance to prepare & make sure I can decontaminate my clothes, bags, and self before going home to my cats. As for your beasties, let me know their routine (when they like to go for walks, what time to let them out, food time etc), and any commands I should be aware of! Also how many treats they can have so I don't get puppydog eyed into giving them too many! Let me know where they like to be touched so I don't cross any boundaries and your beastie doesn't get stressed, and which toys are their favourite! Please also let me know any training/things you prefer for your animals like clicker training or not fussing over them till fully in the home. Let me know if they’re allowed a small amount of ‘human food’ etc. Finally, please, please, please let me know if your animal is a flight risk. Do I need to squeeze out of a tiny gap and keep an eye on your cat/dog/reptile etc at all times when exiting the home so they don't escape? Cause I will, but ya gotta tell me first!
A typical day
I'm as happy to cuddle on the couch, or floor, with your pets as I will be to take them out for walks and tucker the wee beasties (and myself) out. If there's a safe, enclosed back yard, and it has been agreed prior, I'm a sucker for playing fetch with dogs, or playing with cats. We have three of our own at home so I'm fairly confident in my cat entertainment skills!

Hi! I'm Ruaridh(Rory), I'm 37 and I'm a homebody, which means I'm likely to spend most of my time indoors drawing/reading/playing with your beasties during house sits. I love walking and having a friend🐾 along makes walking better. I have my own car so traveling to distant/difficult parts of Cornwall and Devon is easy for me now. Like most pet sitters I adore animals & I've been around all kinds of pets all of my life. From bouncy boston terriers, to big loveable pibbles, and everything in between. We even had a red-eared terrapin for a while. In my family we treat animals as our companions and like family themselves, I will treat your animal(s) the way I would want mine to be treated and respect your word when it comes to the care of your companion because it's what I'd wish for myself and my own pets. 😊 Bonus round: I don't smoke, I don't drink, and I'm new in the area so I don't have any friends to invite over so no parties or visitors either! 😂

Rory is an outstanding animal sitter. She took care of both my dog and my cat so well, with constant updates and lots of pics and videos. She handled anything that came her way, including mice gifts and even a mole gift! She is a joy to speak to and I will be using her again for future house sits. Could not recommend her enough!
This was our first time using Rover and we were delighted to have found Ruiradh. Our dogs were so well looked after. We received regular updates too. It felt strange entrusting our house and our boys to someone we’d only met for an hour or so before. It all worked out brilliantly. Ruiridh will certainly be our first choice in future.
Ruaridh is a lovely happy jolly lady punctual trustworthy and affectionate with all 3 of my dogs My dogs loved her from the minute they saw her they were walked as asked and I had updates throughout the day which was lovely and professional I had no worries about walking out my door and leaving them as I knew they would have a lovely day and when I walked back through that door after several hours they were still the same happy dogs Can’t thank Ruaridh enough and I would highly recommend her
