Zero stars. We booked this stay about a month ahead in advance for proper planning. I had to cancel her as a sitter and find an emergency replacement, which was very difficult. Almost had to fly home while caring for a family member who is in a critical state. She didn’t feed my dogs their evening meals, sometimes they wouldn’t eat until 330 am. Didn’t provide medication in a reasonable time. It appears she fed them incorrectly and incorrect food. Left my home unlocked the entire time. Was absent from home from 9-13 hours at a time leaving my dogs with no bathroom breaks. She sold her services as “works from home” so she’s available to be with the dogs. She specifically told me she had no other obligations that would take her from the house for prolonged periods of time, then the day before I was scheduled to leave she said she picked up a part time job. Her communication was misleading and didn’t communicate to me that she couldn’t fulfill the expectations of caring for my pets. I tried to work with her but she was taking advantage of my understanding of her part time job by staying later and later and basically not showing up at all an entire night to our house with the exception of a 20 min stop by through the night. I had to find out the level of neglect through our camera and intervene with friends and neighbor drop ins. She worked her part time job every single day of this pet sit including days she said she wasn’t working and would be home with my dogs. I had to problem solve how to get them fed after realizing her behavior. She then was unwilling to coordinate an appropriate time to collect her items after I fired her and changed the access code. She called the police because she wanted her things immediately instead of waiting for the new sitter to be available to release her items. Unethical behavior and misleading.
