Old fart who needs something to do
Hi, I'm Roy. Kidding aside, I am the go-to person for my family, neighbors, and friends to care for their animals when they're away from home. I've taken care of dogs and cats when they're healthy or sick, young or old. I retired some years ago but am healthy and want to help others. Taking care of animals gives me purpose and keeps me active. Being retired, your pet will have company throughout the day and lots of care and attention. I enjoy taking your pet on several walks each day. I can administer medication and will do my best to cater to special needs or requests. I take the well-being of animals very seriously and will do everything I can to ensure your pet is happy and comfortable while in my care.

Everyone wants to know that their pet is well looked after when in the care of another. With Roy you can be assured that he will provide the best of care. This was the second booking with him. My dog Windsor didn't seem to be happy leaving when it was time to pick him up. Clearly he was comfortable and well treated while I was away. Roy was also great at communicating and providing assurance that all was well during the duration of the stay. Will look forward to leaving Windsor with Roy again. Highly recommend!

Bullet had a great time staying with Roy! His space was perfect for him and he loved having the freedom the lay outside or inside when he wanted. Neighborhood is also great for walking and Bullet looked so happy in every photo Roy sent. Would definitely rebook.

Schedule
I am currently retired, so your dog will have someone around throughout the day. Also, I only sit 1 client’s dog at a time so your dog will get plenty of individualized love and care. I am happy to relax with them at home or take them out for walks.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a townhouse with a fenced in yard. I have central air and heat, so the temperature will always be comfortable for your pet. The neighborhood is beautiful and safe. I have a back porch, enclosed with a fence, that gets sun all day. Dogs love to lay out there while I read.
A typical day
Dogs love to spend afternoons sunning on my back porch. I’m only 2 blocks away from the beach and 2 blocks from Bixby Park, so there are plenty of nice walks I can take your dogs on.

- Please let me know if your dog has any special needs, or any sort of behavioural issues prior to booking. All dogs must be housetrained and socialized. Let me know if there’s anything I should be aware of when walking your dog on a leash. If you think your dog barks excessively, I may not be a good match for you. Let me know how often they need potty breaks and walks.
