Working From Home Couple + Garden
Please check my calendar before submitting a booking. Fully booked in July. We’re a couple in our thirties who have always loved dogs and grown up with them, even though we don’t have one of our own right now. I grew up with Jack Russells and a Tenterfield Terrier, and my partner had a German Shepherd/Border Collie cross. I’ve been on Rover since April 2024 and have looked after lots of different dogs for daycare and overnight stays. We now have quite a few regulars who trot in like they own the place, which is always a great sign. It means the world to us to be trusted with such an important part of someone’s family, and we really enjoy making sure every dog feels comfortable, settled, and well cared for while they’re with us. I work remotely, so I’m home every day and able to give dogs plenty of attention, cuddles, and company. We’re also in a great spot, just a five minute walk from a big park and ten minutes from Hove seafront, which is perfect for relaxed walks.

Bella had the best time with Roxy….. I can highly recommend Roxy… she is amazing with our Bella.. who needed a little more attention this time as she has been poorly…. Roxy was happy to give Bella her meds…..
Juno had a lovely time with Roxy! From the very start, she was made to feel comfortable — Tom and Roxy took the time to meet Juno beforehand and let her explore the house and the environment she’d be staying in. It made such a difference and really put us at ease. Throughout the day I received thoughtful updates, which we really appreciated, it was clear Juno felt happy and relaxed with them. She came home content and tired in the best way. Would absolutely recommend and book Roxy again!

Schedule
I live with my partner, Tom, who helps me care for the dogs, so there’s usually an extra pair of hands around. I work from home full-time (9–5), which means we can enjoy early morning walks, lunchtime outings, and relaxed after-work strolls together. As we don’t have any pets of our own, the dog staying with us gets plenty of attention and company while they’re here. Just a little note that I attend a course on Wednesday evenings and leave the house at 5:30pm, so during term time any daycare bookings on Wednesdays will need to be picked up by then. I’m sadly no longer able to look after dogs with separation anxiety, as I need to make sure I can give my full focus to both my work and the dogs in my care. I also sometimes pop out to the gym during the day, so dogs staying with us should be comfortable being left alone for around an hour.

We have a lovely home with a secure fully fenced garden as well as an enclosed patio in the back. I love walking in the neighbourhood to the beach or the park whenever I get the chance to.
A typical day
Living just four minutes from a big park and ten minutes from the beach means there are plenty of great spots for walks and fresh air. During the workday, dogs in our care usually enjoy curling up on the chair in my office, keeping me company while I work. Just a quick heads up that I attend a course on Wednesday evenings and leave the house at 5:30pm, so during term time any daycare bookings on Wednesdays will need to be picked up by then. I’m also sadly no longer able to care for dogs with separation anxiety, as this has had too much impact on my work in the past.
