I have had family dogs since childhood and absolutely love everything about them. Your pet will receive lots of attention, snuggles, walks and playtime. Mark and I have fostered rescues in our home as well as caring for Rover pets. You can rest easy during your time away as we are conscientious and attentive caretakers. We split our time between the north and south sides of Seattle so we can provide petsitting throughout the region. On the north side, we have 5 acres between Darrington and Arlington on Hwy 530. It’s quiet and peaceful, with lots of room to run and play. On the south side, we have a residence in Lacey, near Olympia. Our home is multi-generational, with our daughter & 2 grandchildren upstairs. Our unit is downstairs, and can be completely closed off if your pet is uncomfortable with children. There is a separate access leading to the yard. The home is mostly quiet, but there may be footsteps and the sound of kids playing upstairs. Housesitting (in your home) is available within 100-mile radius of Seattle.

Schedule
I am retired and have lots of time to dedicate to your pet. My activities center around the home and your fur baby will not be left alone for extended periods. My husband, Mark, works from home and is able to be with them if I should have to step away. We do not currently have dogs of our own, which means that all of our focus and attention is on the 1 or 2 Rover dogs that we care for at a time. This level of care is intentional and hard to find.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a fenced area right off the back deck at our Arlington place. In Lacey, we take walks on leashes. Pets are free to roam the home and make themselves comfortable, but we can certainly crate them if they are used to that during certain periods.
A typical day
I enjoy playing fetch and taking walks in beautiful parks or in the countryside. I have discovered that dogs love fresh apple slices so I feed them as snacks. I love to sit and pet and massage them, or run a brush through their fur. Mark and I both love to get on the floor and play tug of war or a bit of pretend wrestling. There will be lots of snuggles, playtime, or just resting if that’s their thing!
